I bought the OP 7 pro 12-256 Global variant in May. The only issue I have encountered thus far is this morning when my phone would not recognize the SIM card. After removing it a few times and inserting it again, it's back up and running. Now...it could simply be the SIM card as this one is well over three years old and has been in three different phones so I'll continue to monitor the situation but aside from that, I have had absolutely no issues with the phone.I received the latest update 9.5.11

    I'm USA based

So is the consensus that it's h/w or s/w related?

Nobody really knows. I had it happen twice in 2 days but haven't had it happen in about 2-3 weeks.

It is very difficult to separate which batches and numbering are giving problems. The right thing would be for Oneplus to collect all devices with problems regarding batches and series, communicate through the site. If the problem is Hardware is something serious that Oneplus cannot neglect. Money is not born in a tree.

Friend, have you contacted Oneplus? In your case what did they say? You paid dearly on this smatphone, can not be at the impairment. Which country did you buy this smartphone from? What is the lot or numbering?

    Thank you

They ain't going to do that, they won't even admit to issues.
    Jelly, what Jelly?
    Yellow band, that's a feature.
Somebody Opened a thread back on the OPO asking for such information, when that had the Yellow band and touch screen issues and people offered th information quite freely. I feel they will do so again as they too would find the information useful.

    Friend sorry my english !!!!
Many issues persist even with new updates.
If Oneplus doesn't comment on all related issues, I will follow and pick up another smartphone.

    Thank you

Yes I've been on chat, to be told the usual 'the update is coming'. In other words, go away we are not admitting there is an issue.
Bought it in the uk and it was dead again this morning, but luckily I was awake other wise the alarm wouldn't have gone off!
If the next update doesn't fix it, I'm getting rid of it and going back to Samsung.

Mate if I can ask you, when did they told you that any update is coming? Going crazy here with support and thinking if return before return windows closes or hang in there if they really push and update out, cause beside the shutdown massive issue the phone is absolutely great.

Your English is good Bro, I wish I had a second language to that standard.
They will not comment they never do, sorry to tell you that.

The T model is a certainty so the focus is about to shift to that and the Q update, so don't expect much in the way of fixes in the near future. You should now be looking at the that, seen as we are now at the half way mark for the 7 Pro.

The 8Gb Rog 2 is out in China for $500 so I don't expect to see to much of a price hike on the T.

Return it bud, you can always get a refund and buy again if the issues are resolved.
But once you pass the return mark you will have to take the hit in the pocket.
The next Update should be Q ( ready or not ) and that will bring it's own issues.

[e]1f44d[/e] yeah I still have like a week, so I will probably go for it, was just hoping to get it sorted it these days, it is such an hassle for me having to rechange phone cause of work applications and stuff that I need to re-register. I wouldn' t expect to have any issue of this sort passing to OP, like seriously.

They won't tell you when the update is coming. They won't even admit there is a fault!
If you can return it, then go for it and move on. I wish I was in that position....

Yeah man, I meant how long ago did they tell you they were working on it [e]1f44d[/e] I' ll definitely see what to do these days, I went for this brand to have zero issues, not the opposite, for me it' s insane having to bother within a week of a 700$ phone purchase for this kind of stuff. Thanks for the info!

I have been facing similar sleep of death issues on OnePlus 5 after trebble support update.
I tried to resolve issues by flashing multiple Android Pie (9.0) roms but the issue persisted.

    Solution on OnePlus 5
I am assuming this issue is software related to phone's firmware or vendor partition.
I rolled back to Android Oreo (8.1) and did not have single restart or similar issues for past 6 months.

Do you know when OP7 T will leave?

Friend, please, if they answer you or find a definitive fix that ends this problem once and for all, please post here !!!!!!!!!!

Just an update, factory reset and reinstalling everything did not solve anything, just a massive waste of time. The phone keeps shutting down at least once a day 100% of the times and only when using the camera app, sometimes starting the camera sometimes exiting the app. Support was not able to help at all and there is not even a sign of an update coming for it, so I will just return the phone before my return window closes.
