it happened to u?
It happens to me too today. I didn't try the pwr+vlm up yet. I tried the pwr+vol down as they suggested me and nothing happened.
I'll try to do it tomorrow, thanks to you guys. I'll keep you updated...
I'm leaving it for 12 hours as they told me, but it will be probably useless
Same here, it has happened 3 times already. the volume + power works but it is very disappointing for a new phone.
very disappointing [e]1f61e[/e] with a phone of this price range.
Hey. If it was for a defective device, they will reimburse you the return shipping fee. Get in touch with support.
Give OnePlus another go. Perhaps you were unlucky. Just saying.
Definitely get in touch with OP support and produce your return shipping receipt.
I brought OnePlus 7 Pro phone and it is completely dead. Turned off and will not turn back on.
Tried pressing volume down key with power key quite a few times.. Can someone help me?
I dont have a phone now
volume UP and power button!!
Can confirm this happend to me as well. Luckily the Volume + UP trick worked and booted back at 33% power. Was super scared...going on vacation next week and wanted to show off my phone....
EDIT: Happened again with reboot at 73% battery. I leave for vacation in 6 hours...this is a terrifying bug. Please fix.
Just happened to me as well. It was fine a few hours ago but was turned off and wouldn't turn on just now. Had to use volume up + power button. Had 63% battery when it turned on.
Just happened to me on the t-mobile variant. The power up + volume worked. All I did was just restart my phone as I typically do once a week and it wouldn't turn on. Fully charged at the time also.
Just happened to my 12/256 Verizon Neb Blue. Was a total brick but thankfully found this thread and used the Volume Up + Power Button to get it back on.
Hopefully there will be some SW update to address this issue... First OnePlus product and it's been a rollercoaster experience coming from a Google Pixel...
I am planning to buy 1+7 pro...should I wait til this issue get fixed or go for other brand? I am 1+2 user
It appears to be a software issue, and it's not all that common.
I had been using the device, and after I left a restaurant today the phone was just unresponsive and unable to be powered on. Funny because I had even tried Volume Down+Power. Found this thread, and it's back to normal after Volume Up+Power. 8/256 Model and Unlocked Bootloader (Magisk Rooted). Looks like it's some software/firmware issue as opposed to a hardware defect (unless the initial power off behavior is due to a hardware problem).
I just went through this problem... But I hit Restart in the power menu, it didn't came back up... Vol + & Power worked but I had to tried three times for it to work... I almost shait my pants cuz I bought it last week.
Happened to me as well. Power+Up worked...Should we expect any official reply from Oneplus?
This same thing happened to my 7 Pro yesterday. I tried to restart my phone and it died. After pressing the power button several times for various lengths of time I finally went online and found instructions to hold power and volume down. After that failed and I was in full blown panic mode I tried power and volume up, and it worked. I sure hope OnePlus can figure this out and resolve the problem with a software update.
Same thing just happened to me! Luckily found this thread and it rebooted.
Happened to me again. Second day in a row.
i've heard this issue happens only on US and only if u get T-mobile version... is there anyone from europe who had this problem. i might stick with the s10 if this happens in EU aswell. i really wanted a SD855 phone over exynos
