Mine not a single problem mentioned on these boards either and I was reluctant to purchase at first. Strange still happening even after people getting a replacement.

My OnePlus 7 pro shutdowned on its own with about 70% of battery. Tried the power button to turn it on but it didn't work. Looked up the issue online and tried pressing the vol. Up plus power on button which turned the phone back on.

This happened to me three times in three days. I made one change per a recommendation from someone on Reddit that may have resolved it since I have not had the issue since. Go to Settings -> Battery -> Battery Optimization -> Press the three dots in the top right corner -> Advanced optimization -> Make sure Deep optimization and Sleep standby optimization are both OFF. The only other thing I did was let the battery drain down to 0% and then fully charged while the phone was off.

I don't have three dots on the Battery Optimization screen. I just have the apps. I think your directions are missing a step or two.

Strange. This is what my screen looks like:

The only thing I have enabled that you may not is developer options. Are you running 9.5.8? They may have removed this option in 9.5.9.

    Weird. I don't have those 3 dots. I'm running 9.5.8 (T-Mobile version).

I too faced same issue - while charging phone just died and won't turn back on. After struggling for an hour was thinking to take it to service center, suddenly it started back (apparently by holding volume-up+power buttons together). I never faced such issue with any phone in past, it was very scary experience. This is serious reliability issue. Hope OnePlus people fix it soon.

Yeah, had the same once.. couple of weeks ago.. I am running 12GB / 256 version nebula blue.. Happend when phone was normally placed on table, tried to woke it up but nothing.. completly dead phone.. than only the trick with volume and power buttons helped... but as it was mentioned on Andorid Police web site, fix is on the way..

Same here. It got back to life after two days by pressing volume button when charger was around 0 percent. Shit scary and a big thumbs down to one plus. From India.

Had the same issue this morning when I woke up. OP7Pro was charging overnight, and was dead in the morning. Power + Vol Up revived it, and it even started an alarm that I had set for 5 min earlier that did not go off because the phone was dead. Definitely seems like a firmware or software issue to me, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

My phone did this today. Battery was on 35% and i am not able to wake it up. But i can call the phone, the caller side hear that my phone ring out but my phone didn't do anything. Just the power button pressing didn't help. I wrote to the support and they told me: put it on the charger for 15 minutes, press the vol up + power. With this i can switch is back. and the battery was on 50% (warp charger)
I was not on the stock kernel! I was on Smurf 2.2.1.

This just happened to me also. Powerbutton +vol up worked. Never had this problem before on any phone. Battery was at 95%. Weird.
