Have you contacted their support and have they told you to replace the device?

As so many units are having this problem, could this just be a software issue?

no issues with Vodafone Network on OnePlus 6. perhaps, it's only an exception with your phone. just take it to an ESC

I might have a similar problem:
My network connection works fine for a shirt time, then I lose the connection despite the display says H+ or 3G. I also can't make any calls when this happens.
I have to disable and reenable the SIM or reboot the device to restore network connection.
    My carrier is Congstar Germany.
I have already requested a SIM card replacement, but the new card has the same problem

I also have tried using my second SIM card (carrier Telekom Germany). This SIM works fine. No problems with this carrier.

From where did you purchase the phone?

Does that mean it's a hardware problem?

    Network Settings Reset

    Step 2
    Go to Settings
    Apps

    Storage
Clear Data & also Clear Cache

Step 3: (Below Email got from oneplus)

Step 3: Select your preferred language as English

    Thanks for the update.

Let's just wait for their software update then.

Again hoping not a hardware problem, last thing we want is that, OnePlus is doing a pretty decent job and hardware issue will really set them back.

Same problem here Vodafone CZ. If I'm on same place, It's OK. On my way to work or anywhere else, It frequently happens. Reboot solves the problem.
