Hi just wondering if anyone knows how I could fix my phone.
It got wet when I went sailing on a lake about a month ago, when I first noticiced when we got out the lake it still turned on and the screen worked fine, the finger print scanner wouldn't work and the front facing camera wouldn't either. I got back to the hotel we were staying at and put it on charge which it seamed to do fine until i noticed the charge wasn't going up. When it eventually died it would sometimes show warning signs about "battery dangerously low please charge". When I got home I took the back off and dried it for about 2 or 3 days in rice I replaced the USB C port and that didn't work so then I put in a new battery in and it turned on but still won't charge. The finger print scanner works and it seams to work fine it just doesn't charge. I've tried different cables, sockets, plugs extra but nothing works. Any ideas ? Sorry for the long explanation.

Sounds like a water damaged motherboard.

Thank you that's great, do you know if it is replaceable and if so what it's official name might be?

It's also the most expensive part in your phone. So you should really think twice if it's worth fixing or not.

Yup mate, if you wish to revive your phone, the Only CPR which could revive it is the motherboard.

You can also try showing it to a local mobile repair shop person and see if they could help you with a solution, even if its temporary. Or sometimes leaving the phone as is, may just miraculously help too.. you never know ;)
