Posted a screen shot not sure how much more I can explain. Like I've said I've only experienced this on my oneplus 7 pro.

Clear the cache and data of the chrome app and then restart your phone. Check after that.

Which version of Chrome are you using?
The icon next to time is a TV icon isn't it? Is your chrome casting to a TV?

EDIT: Clearing cache appears to have resolved it. Ignore above. ;)

I've also had issues with chrome. It randomly just turns the web page black except the nav bar. It feels like chrome crashes because you can't always close app, it might stutter getting there. Might be an issue with chrome , which I emailed, but no response.

Same with my one plus 7 pro 8Go. if I try to watch the video on this website (https://www.outwell.com/fr-fr/ecommerce/tentes/montana-6p-new) in full screen, I also got a black screen but it's not as annoying as the other black screen you sometime get because I don't have to close Chrome completely to make things work again.
I sadly don't know what to do to solve this matter..
Let me know if someone has the same issue on the website, you need to scroll the photos to find the video.

Same problem. It seems that website doesn't matter, always happens on different site. Not sure if some components on site triggers this behaviour.

When you browse websites the website portion goes black. I can see the address bar and press tabs button but I get there the same black screen unable to see tabs. Functions remain working, I can swipe and close tabs. I imagine website works as well but just with black screen. To recover from this I need to kill Chrome.

I'm using basic Chrome (not beta) and newest version what ever it is at the time. 75.0.3770.101 seems to be current version. 7 Pro 12/256, stock non-rooted. Happened on previous version, running currently 9.5.8.GM21BA.

Yep, had the same issue. I think it's when there are videos in the webpage. Once it's crashed (well, black screen) it's the same throughout all apps that hook into chrome (Google news for example).
