    Hi

Starting this thread to discuss about the camera update of OnePlus 7T.
It has made the camera worse. The images look too processed, specially when clicked in artificial lighting.
Also, it gets blurry which leads to poor photo quality as well.
@OnePlus- please provide a legitimate update.

Yes i bought oneplus 7t for camera and Great oxygen os ...But not satisfied with camera results... developers should try to change algorithms like that what we capture display as like it..not very much color processed.. Color changes are noticed in many photos that's not sign of true flagship camera mobile....

Can you share an example of how it was before and how it is now?

I'm not a professional. But I can tell that It generated more realistic images that didn't look too processed. Now, it looks way too processed, with blurriness and beauty factor, even when beauty mode is off.

I too am not very happy with the camera. The photos are certainly less sharp and settings like Nightscape are very artificial now.
The software is also still a pain, I am used to having a general "auto" setting to improve photos. That works on OIS and Google photos, but the OnePlus camera app has a range of totally useless filters.

Even I Bought the OP7T for good camera pictures but I am highly disappointed with the results of the camera. I owned a Redmi note 7Pro and it was far better than OP7T in terms of pictures and quality. OP needs to provide a good update because investing money on this device has got me nowhere.

I didn't feel like the images are overtly processed. Although, I am having trouble with focusing on the ultra-wide and telephoto mode. The ultra-wide just fails to focus with a tap, even if the subject is close to the phone or its just a landscape. The multiple taps on the screen drove me crazy on the last trip. I ended up pointing the camera elsewhere, move it to the scene i want to shoot and click immediately. And pray that its in focus.

Telephoto mode isn't that painful, but still an issue nonetheless.

Anyone else having similar problems with the 7T Pro?

Yes lot of problems with camera & camera Ui.
Not to feel flagship killer phone use.
same camera result in mi & realme phones.
telephoto lense clearity not improved. color saturation & image softening problem.

960fps slowmotion not available in this flagship killer phone.
    no filters in camera Ui.
no light effect in potrait mode.
no potrait (blur) video like realme phones.

"Flagship killer" term is not used by oneplus since the OP2. so you should stop using this term.
960 fps is only a software mode, hardware do not support it. So just a "Fake Mode".
Light effect, filters- that s for unskilled snapcrap users, who have no clue about photography-there are lots of apps you can get in the playstore for such effects. If you like kiddie toy modes, maybe it s better to choose another brand. I agree, there are some issues in post processing, unfortunately Oneplus camera departement is small in relation to competitors and it s hard to get high skilled engeneers.

Nightscape looks artificial because it is wholly artificial, if you want decent atmospheric night shots use a tripod and longer shutter speeds.
