I updated my one plus 8t to android 12 yesterday and now I'm experiencing display issues. A purple and green line appeared and they look permanent. I visited the local store, and they said the only fix is to change the display which cost around 15k. I have not dropped my phone, nor does the phone have any physical damage. I request one plus to look into this.

    Hey there,

Performing a factory reset can help in situations concerning freezes/lags.

If you have the display issues mentioned by OP then you've got to get the screen replaced, just like he was advised too.

It's their game to make a huge profit by making people fools . After updation many of them are facing the same issue and they are saying that we should pay and change the display . I'm also facing the same issue and now they are telling i should change with my own money. Thus they can make huge profit. BLOODY CHEATS. Worst phone I've ever used. Shame on one plus. No other companies do like this. It's their responsibility to replace the display, even the mistake is on their part , they are not taking the responsibility and blaming the user's and making them pay for it. Very cheap behavior from one plus side.

I have never faced such a problem !!
I have not dropped my phone nor anything happened but I don't understand how the green light came from my phone is around 1 and half year old so I won't be able to claim in my warranty bill

I have updated my one plus 8T to android 12 recently. Currently I am facing some issues in the touch screen in my left corner. I'm unable to touch the whole screen which is present in that section of the screen. My phone doesn't have any physical damage and hasn't dropped. I request OnePlus to look into this

Did anyone face this kind of issues?

What do you mean OnePlus resolved these issues? So far they have done nothing.

I request everyone facing the same issue to comment here. I believe we have every right to get the display replaced free of cost as it's their quality defect and it's not a one-off case. If they don't, I believe we can all come together and file a case against OnePlus.

No, its a hardware issue caused likely by faulty software leading to burned pixels.
