    Enrico Bertoni , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Oct 16, 2021 :
    Hello everyone

I am lately experiencing an annoying issue with the Google assistant: my vocal commands work perfectly but the device (nor, more importantly, my car when I,m driving) reacts to "Ok google/hey Google" commands. I always manually have to push the mic button and start from here.

    Anyone with the same issue?

    Enrico

Yes sure. Actually it works after I push the mic icon on the car screen, it's just the "hey Google" activation which often doesn't work

I was talking about the Android Auto App. You are using the Android Auto App on the 9 Pro, aren’t you?

Yes I do - but I still don't know how to clear the cache from the App. You mean from the general settings of the device?

Go to settings - apps - all apps - search for Android Auto - storage & Cache - clear cache and then restart the device

Thank you, I cleared both Google and Android Auto cache and restarted the device. Now the vocal command works on the smartphone (before it was not working), but still nothing on Android Auto...

Can you also please clear cache in recovery?
Are you using the latest Android Auto version?
Can you please share the version number?
