    Hi all, anything like OnePlus in the tablet world? I'm after a decent Android tablet for my Girlfriend.

    What do you think the best Chinese Tablet is?

    i could recommend Amazon's fire tablet
    it costs 50$, and its pretty powerful for the price
    all you gotta do it root it and change launcher, because without root its not worth the money cuz its useless

    I agree. I have a kindle fire hd that I turned into an android tablet, CM 12.1 on it. I love it, great alternative to buying an expensive tablet.

    It's Android to start with... Just a different launcher, but that's an easy change. Install GAPPs then it's just another skin like TouchWiz. But yeah CM is much better than Stock ROM...

    Best Tablet Out: Pixel-C

    Nvidia Shield Tablet [K1] has a pretty reasonable price for the firepower (TK1 is faster than S810) at $199.

    Mi pad 2 is pretty cheap and getting some decent reviews, but it's not long out.

    I really want Oneplus to make a tablet:
    8" ish;
    3 + GB of ram;
    decent CPU(SD810, kirin 950, even the intel, z8500?);
    amoled of OLED screen;
    sdcard slot; and
    a good battery (hell, make it removable! shake up the industry!)

    These specs with OxyenOS very Vanilla android UI would make a perfect tablet.I do not need super thin glass or expensive aluminium, give me sandstone plastic back! cause I will just put a case on it anyway,

    I personally would buy the Dell Venue 8 7000......if it had 3GB of ram. OnePlus if you read this. Build a Dell Venue 8 7000 clone with more ram and oxygen OS(with sexy dark theme). <- yes, this tablet as the fancy aluminium construction, but if it had more ram and less metal, I would still buy it!/>

    I patently await my invite to buy said tablet.

    That's not a good tablet. Shield Tablet is better (TK1>S810) and carries those traits except the screen and 2GB RAM.

    What is not good? I am not a gamer, mostly just read... with ten zillion tabs(ram).

    I did look at the shield tablet, but the ram and screen kind of kill it for my needs

    The pixel c is a little bit too big. Again, looking for that seeminlgy unicorn tablet at the 8" ish size.

    Unless the pixel c only looks big? The comparisons make it look kind of square... Not my optimal rectangle reading shape.

    If your a reader then (and i will say it 3 times just so it sinks in) "Aspect Ratio, Aspect Ratio, Aspect Ratio"

    Phew that was a lot of typing.

    I have a Project Tango Tablet (128GB Internal Storage, 4GB RAM, microSD, microUSB, USB 3.0, 7-Inch Display, Tegra K1). It's not really worth twice the price of the Shield Tablet, but maybe you can find one on sale. It's technically a developer's tablet with 3D Mapping capabilities.

    I will check it out. Still kind of leaning toward the dell. As other people have mentioned. Aspect ratio is important for reading. I just worry that Android and 2gb of ram is going to be laggy(the dell venue 8 7000)

    Thanks to all for the coments and advice
