    Hey 1+ Lovers,

    I'd like to share the review on OnePlus Nord which I've purchased/upgraded to :

    I've moved to OnePlus Nord 8/128 from OnePlus 7 - 6/128 and it's totally disappointing when comes to the camera.

    I do not know if other Nord users feel the same, however the camera is very poor and I would say the worst camera built 1+ ever had compared to all the versions till date. Already in a feeling to stop using Nord and being a OnePlus Fan it's very disappointing
    • Pixel breakout, if you zoom the picture even 1x the pixel quality is blurred
    • Picture gives brightness but no clarity
    • Hangs in between
    • Poor Macro lens
    • Camera gives feeling of using a vintage phone with Okay-Okay picture clarity and pixel which just fulfills the camera feature but not a best camera feel
    Does the team gonna improve the camera performances in the upcoming updates or leave the 1+ fans disappointed?

    What would the team suggest and helps with, to the Camera lovers?

    Well, thank you for your review, but it's common knowledge the Nord is not the phone for pixel peepers, the silly camera count is there for marketing reasons rather than making it the killer camera phone.

    In this class I'd recommend the Pixel phones and the iPhone SE, please note these phones both have just one simple rear camera, but the camera software is just superb.

    Oneplus have always struggled to deliver a consistent, good camera experience.

    BTW: the NORD has seven cameras (three front and four rear).

    While I'm not sure if it applies for the nord.

    But on my phone I was dissapointed by it's macro performace in low light until I installed it's Gcam port.

    So, it comes down to software in the end, not adding silly amounts of camera hardware, and take out the headphone Jack, because "saving room"

    Exactly, Although not everything can be replaced by software. The software should be the starting point for this.

    Ultrawide and macro will always be better if the hardware AND software are there.

    Yes, but still when compared to other models it's not up to the mark and as the more models/features you come with there should be an improvement in primary features like Camera. Or it comes to theory like lesser the price the lower the performance is. But still 1+ is different so that shouldn't be with this brand

    As i said, multiple camera's are more a marketing gimmick.

    If on a budget, like the Nord, you can't have the perfect hardware and perfect software for a low price. Tests showed it, you could have read here, there is just no Mercedes for Hindustan Ambassador money.

    So yes, as a rule, the less you pay, the less you get, i know, it's weird, right?

    I beg to differ, commerce rules are the same for Oneplus as for any other brand, no matter what they try to make you believe. It's a bit naive to think you can almost have it all for half the price, and that's a fact of life...
