I didn't know people still owned OPOs. You can't keep patching that phone up and expect it to function normally and expect OP to take responsibility for this mess. The OPO has long passed its expiry date and I think we're going to hear about more and more exploding OPOs especially from those on overclocked custom ROMs. There's only so much that a phone with an outdated Soc 801 can take before overheating and exploding. This should be a cautionary tale to the remaining OPO loyalists our there - there comes a time when you need to walk away from the past and move into the future....

I give it a great chance he also replaced the battery (if he replaced the screen by himself).

Do you realize you not only posted your address on the internet, but also your VAT number? No wonder your battery exploded...

There are still a lot of people using the OPO as a daily driver, just as I do. You're right, this phone is pretty old and I don't expect OnePlus to take responsibility for anything. One day this phone will stop working, but it shouldn't explode. And you can't recommend that all people should just throw it away and buy a new phone.
I never changed the screen or the battery, hope that this thing isn't a grenade and will use it till its end.

True! There could be a reason for it exploding, usually it's the battery getting too hot due to stress on the processor. Many heavy duty android apps nowadays are not configured for soc 801 and I think the processing power required to make them function will heat up older processors like the 801 and it's possible that charging the OPOs battery while those heavy duty android apps are running in the background could contribute to an explosion.

    What I'd your room temperature?
What is the phone temperature before charging?(heat/cool)
    Was the charger adapter different?
    Was the charging cable damaged?
Have you switched off mobile data, wifi, Bluetooth, other etc.?
Was the voltage of current right?
Or your battery goes old, damages it on.

Actually everything was correct as usual, however it happened. I don't know why it happened. I am not employee. Still searching for job and don't have money to buy another cell. Even though I am cleaning all the junk things and keeping lots of space free. I was using original battery and charger as well. I hope I will get the fast response and things will get sorted out.
