at least OnePlus do admit some areas where they are 'lacking' -- the not bold sections.

I have a Sony, and I'll say this: no matter the megapixel count, they tend to underdeliver when it comes to camera quality. The software sucks...simple as that. If Sony hasn't fixed this, then the camera win definitely goes to One+

The price is the only factor that distinguishes which device is better. I'll go with the OPO, IMO Sony's devices are beautiful looking, but quite uncomfortable with their sharp corners and all glass construction on the back and front. Specs aren't everything and it seems they are evenly matched, price is the major factor in deciding which is the best. Regarding the OPO, I'll wait to see it before judging it is the greatest and bestest like its claiming to be.

Well, cyanogen is not known for good camera software when it comes to custom roms. I think there will definitely not be SD slot in OPO and no waterproof certificate. Who knows how much will 64 GB version cost? 16 GB is just not enough for todays standards.

That really shouldn't matter. It still has a bigger battery.

    So that...makes it smaller?
The CPU is only 200mhz faster. Yet they claim that as a win. It's just as negligible, and actually is probably more so.

The cpu is technically 800mhz quicker so it does make a difference, while as 100mah won't have any noticeable difference

Uhm, no. I'm almost positive there aren't any programs that make full use of more than even 2 cores.
Android isn't a really hungry OS either, especially when talking about the Cyanogenmod take.
    I'll happily be proved wrong.
As for the 100mah? I'm pretty sure you'll notice the extra half hour of battery life almost daily.

The 100mah will be drained on the Sony's ui, and the extra cpu processing speed will make the difference for multitasking, why can't you accept that the better processor is the better choice?

I never debated the processor. I said it wins the battery war. Which it technically does

It wins it on paper, slightly, but it all depends on software

Whilst the Z2 has front facing stereo speakers, the output, though loud, is of poor quality. I am hoping that the bacon has a few tricks up its sleeve in relation to speaker quality, audio chip and hopefully, a dedicated amplifier or sound chamber in the body of the phone to give a good loudspeaker experience, even if the speakers are not located on the front.

what's wrong with the price being the only distinguishing factor?

you don't want to pay $300 less for the same quality phone?

Sony z2 may have more megapixels but it only has 5 lenses compared to OnePlus Ones 6 & f2.0 aperture. Plus sony camera software is always poor. As for waterproof would only be useful if your a diver, surfer, e.t.c or work where theres alot of water splashing about. 3100mAH battery will actually be a bit higher, & theres the mystery battery technology ;)

Yes, that's what I think, and adding the price to the comparative, the choice is more than easy.
