    Congratulations @Pete extensive also to @Gary C.
Lots of news. That's good. We as consumers are always hoping for the best, even if sometimes we are surprised with accidents along the way like the 7 Pro update to Android 11 was. Lots of feedbacks and lots of headaches. We hope that this merging of systems is for the better and that it doesn't bring hassles and worries. There is still a lot of ground ahead and we will see many new features. Good luck to all of us in the OnePlus/Oppo family. My suggested name for the new integrated system is TintOS.
Still waiting for the company in my country.
    Best wishes
    BetiK 🤗🇧🇷

All this is just another big word meaning nothing to the user. I paid crazy money for cinese headphones Bud Pro that don't even have the magic codec LHDC™ because of which I bought them. And now they tell me - be patient until next year?

    Dear oh dear

Atleast you came out with a device portfolio plan which I hope won't change further and the OS integration Oxygen OS get some Color and life.

Here's to a better bug free, Regular and consistent than what we are getting now.

So , a new device in 2022 , will be the "first" to launch with unified OS , what about 9 series will the updates for these, be delayed as well ?
    Edit : by updates , I mean OOS12
IIRC , OnePlus was the first to launch open beta for OOS 10 & 11 along with the launch of android by Google for their pixels , so is this timeline gonna change ?

What will be unique selling point of OnePlus after integration? Why would anyone buy a OnePlus device if people are getting similar software and specs from oppo with less price?

I ve been following the news since the first announcement from Pete and restrained myself from posting. Cant do that anymore, so ...

If the hardware is the same as OPPO (this has been the case since the beginning) and the software will be the same, then what motivates someone to get a OnePlus instead of an OPPO phone?

What makes OnePlus stand out from its parent company?

As long as we get timely security patches, minor upgrades (features) and 3 years of Android (Major) updates, it's a really good move. Better, Faster, Reliable resources will lead to more stable updates and software experiences overall.

OnePlus 2.0 - Hope it's "Faster" and "Smoother"

I came from Huawei Mate 20 Pro to OnePlus 8 Pro.
The difference in menu handling is staggeringly negative in case of the OnePlus, so I hope that will improve.
