that won't be OnePlus 3 for sure, they might release OnePlus One Lite or a Low-end Spec's OnePlus Device :)

    NO they don´t!
What a stupid thread is that?
HTC made a Camera with 4 Megapixel but the Sensor Size was the same as on a 13MP Camera.
So every Pixel was bigger than normal and should (in theory) capture more light.
And because 4 MP sounded like a low spec they decided to go with the Name UltraPixel.
The Camera was very bad by the way!
I thought People on the ONE+ Forum would at least know the basics about Smartphone’s...

OIS will be good to have! But if they have made necessary improvement in their native imaging / camera software that will also do. I am saying this on the basis of photo comparison released by OnePlus.

And NO OTHER devices will, cause it is a HTC Trademark and can be used only on those devices. When you will understand, that Ultrapixel is HTCs marketing name for larger pixels? Or you like to troll? :p

'larger pixel' is a reason for naming it UltraPixel, isn't it? but most of you guys saying there's no reason, it's just marketing!

Ultrapixel has larger pixels sensor size than megapixel. So it allows more light to go in and better photos to come out. It performs better in low-light though". Although you can call it a sort of marketing strategy as "large no. of megapixel count is dying out."Hence to market their products company like hTc wants to have an USP.

One for all, megapixel is a counting value, 1 megapixel means 1.000.000 pixels. Ultrapixel is HTC's trademark for their larger sensor, which means larger pixels, but also the ultrapixel sensor has megapixels. This is like saying my car is faster because it has more doors than yours.

Where did we said it is just marketing? The term you use is a marketing term, just call it larger pixels and that's it.

    Exactly, this.
You can compare megapixel with e.g. gigapixel. Ultrapixel should be compared to iSight, IsoCell, IMX etc.

yap :D the day I saw a news about HTC Camera Guys working with OnePlus, I thought about this UltraPixel thing and created this thread! OnePlus used this UltraPixel technology in a 13MP Camera which is great and can't use this UltraPixel name cause it's trademark of HTC!
