I like the fingerprint sensor idea no matter which way it turns out. We are so close to launch now that speculation is no longer the issue. It is to stop biting our nails until next Monday!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a page with all the specs? apart from the 4GB RAM, the processor and the fingerprint sensor what else do we know about the new model?

Is this fingerprint sensor going to be "paired" with an app to encrypt/secure credit cards and so on? Is there going to be a stock app related to this sensor or an DevKit will be launched so thrid party developers develop this kind of apps?

Apart from unlocking/locking the phone and securing data what other purposes can a fingerprint sensor have?

    Thanks!

If this is implemented like the iPhone 6 and the S6, it will be a great feature on the new phone.

I don't think there is any way that they would require you to use the fingerprint scanner. Just as other Android devices with a fingerprint scanner, you'll be able to use it or not use it, and if you choose not to use it, you'll be able to use the current method of using a PIN, password, or pattern to secure the device.

I believe it is on the back unfortunately. In that case, the cases that will be made for it will have a cutout on the back so you can still use the fingerprint sensor.

It would be really nice to see this feature implemented into Play Store so you could use your fingerprint to buy stuff there aswell! Or have an app on the OP2 to save credit cards and so on :) Do we know anything about an potential app for this?

I hope the sensor will be useful also for signing in websites, making online shopping etc!

Exactly my thought! :) would be really awesome and handy if you could start using your fingerprint as your password to sites, online stores and so on! Or maybe even to have multiple users on 1 phone :)
