I would not pay $500 for it all at once. Max I would pay is $400 in bulk.

T-Mobile has installment plans which you pay like 15-30$ each month, depending how much the phone is initially... But T Mobile wouldn't sell the 1plus2 so there won't be a payment option, so no way am I dishing out $500 + at once for a cell phone.

1+2 will lose a lot of their customer base if they do that. Because even today not a lot of people know about 1+1 like they do about iPhone 6, lg g4, or s6.

I'm not able to find it now, but I recall Carl Pei asking on Twitter what people's price sensitivity was regarding the Oneplus Two. I think he asked specifically how close to $400 USD people would go and most people I thought responded saying $400 was OK with them. Where did I see this? Does anyone else recall this?

It's like that old SNL skit. Who would win between the OP2 or the U.S. Marines....the OP2. *Chicago Accent*

A tactile home button and fingerprint scanner go great together, you press the home button to wake the screen and at the same time your phone will unlock thanks to the fingerprint scanner.

I wonder if the Oppo Find 9 will have the same specs as the Two? The Find 9 will not be a budget phone.

The next nexus is rumoured to use the snapdragon 820 chip so i would say nexus wins.

I hope it's not too much to ask that OP continue with the pricing approach and product/marketing strategy that has been successful for them to this point. My personal experience is that when a company finds initial success with a product/pricing/marketing approach, the next thing it does is try to greatly expand its reach and market penetration by making fundamental changes in what they've done in the past. Inevitably that alienates past customers, who expect the company to exhibit some "loyalty" in that regard to its past customers in return for those customers' initial faith in and continung loyalty to the company. Usually the earlier customers end up disappointed. I hope that doesn't happen here.

$500 is too much for me, I'll probably hold on to the Oneplus One for another year, it's still a good phone.

Here in the States, the comparison will be between the price of the OPT and an off contract flagship phone. I suspect the number will still favor the OPT. But, as always, price isn't the primary criterion.

It's propably going to be 399€ That way it will be too expensive and OnePlus will do worse than it would do if they would keep it under 350€. Let's see how it goes. If it's not going to be surprisingly good phone compared to One i will pass it anyway since with One why would i need a better phone?

Put something out that is really a flagship phone and price it a few hundred less than other flagships and they may have a winner.

Keep the One or another similar phone for the budget conscious.
