Oneplus 2 overheating while not used

I recently got a OnePlus 2 (2-3 months ago) and I've noticed that it does seem to get rather hot while not being used. I'd just leave it in my pocket, then I feel it burning my pants. thankfully, I haven't reached summer with it yet, but I've already started to sweat in my pants because of it overheating and it's pretty cold here. I even tried some apps which are supposed to help with this, but it persists. looked at some other forums online, but those only complain of heating up while in use. most of the app's agree that it reaches 60 degrees celcius, and I can tell it's around there just by feeling it. this shouldn't be normal for a phone sitting idle, and I've never heard of it happening before. anyone experienced this before, or might know a fix? hope I don't have to send it back...

Do you have pocket mode on? this will prevent accidental touches when the phone is inside in your pocket. I had the same case and pocket mode solved it

I've got a case that's pretty tight, but why would pressure cause heat? I do realize that it might cause a small change, but nothing as drastic as 60 degrees.

Download CPU-Z, if the battery temperature reaches 35-40 degrees Celsius when idle you should probably contact OnePlus support

Your phone thinks your leg is a finger and trying to scan for a fingerprint. A well known bug, OP3 had the same problem. Overheating issue in apps is because of pourly done software engineering and heating problems of the Snapdragon 810. Use a custom rom, would maybe fix it.

I've got pocket mode on, so I don't think it would, do you know if pocket mode truly works?

Try to hold your finger on the top of the phone and block those sensors, and then try to unlock your phone with your fingerprint. Its a bug in the software. Not fixed yet.

Go to Settings> Battery> menu> High power usage apps. See which app is consuming more power which causes device to heat.
