Dear Malaysia fans,
I've seen quite a bit of your unhappiness about the Maxis plans for the OnePlus 2. Since we launched on 22 Sept, we've worked to get a few things in place. I'd like to announce a few things that we've worked out with Maxis so far, as of 25 Sept, 1800h:
- If you already have an invite, you can walk into any Maxis Centre right now to get your OnePlus 2. Each store has an offline portal to validate your invite.
You don't need to wait further. (NB: You'd still need to claim your invite on your OnePlus account first. We set the invites with longer validity specifically for this purpose, so that our fans can touch/feel the OnePlus 2 instore and then get it on the spot.)
- Existing Maxis customer, easy. Follow what
@mastasanuh did below. You can literally terminate your Zerolution plan once it's been approved and pay the remaining balance for the phone.
- Not an existing Maxis customer, you can still sign up for Zerolution. Just bring along a recent bill from your telco operator and show it to the store guys. Once you've successfully signed up for Zerolution, again, you can terminate the plan and pay the balance of the remaining price. It's a bit of hassle but I assure you that you can still get the phone.
[Maxis won't encourage me to say this, but I'm saying it anyway.]
I want to repeat, we're pushing out the invites quickly and widely for Malaysia. We are committed to getting the OnePlus 2 in your hands. We have heard your feedback and are working with Maxis to resolve a lot of the teething issues. We are not done yet. We will continue to monitor the forum throughout to ensure that we haven't left anyone out. Maxis has been informed of your feedback and they're aware of the issues you face. I've discussed with Maxis management and we're hoping to work out even better solutions for you.
Until then, I wish you a great weekend. Drop by one of the Maxis Centres and hopefully we can let the OnePlus 2 speak up for itself. Terima kasih.
