Oneplus 2 vs Note 5 vs G4 speed test

OP2 was only two seconds slower than the S6 on a slightly different speed test. But this test was likely shorter than the one in the thread meaning that the OP2 could be faster?? Regardless, the results don't lie. I'm just trying to cushion the blow that the OP2 just received. G4 may just be a monster. Video of G4 vs. S6 below:

The iPhone performs well with those lower specs because the OS is so efficient. Just imagine if Android was that efficient. 4GB of RAM would be enough for years.

Well it seems that in this test the op2 came in last by about 20 seconds to the note 5 and 6 seconds to the g4.

One would need to decide whether or not such discrepancies in speed warrant paying more for these other phones.

I would say in this case, it was a mistake to go with a busted soc. Nobody knows how this soc will fair I'm 12 months time, I for one will not be spending my money on it to find out I will just watch from a safe distance.

Agreed, not running an SOC at a heavily reduce rate would have help the OP2 also.
For along time LG have been hammered for their heavy OS, yet the OP2 on virtually stock, a superior SOC and 4gb of the latest ram got spanked.
Imagine if the Note 5 and the G4 had 1080p screens.

Well without human interaction it would sort of be. Then again they were just random apps just that guy might use so that realy doesn't tell a lot at all even without the fact that he was pushing the apps on and off manually. So no. Benchmarks are still a better way.

Jeez, take one test and run with it, shouting, "I told you so!". Would be more convincing if there was more proof.
And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :D

Far from flawless but not as flawed as you'd like it to be. :p

I remember seeing OPO antutu scores varying from 32k to 50k. Depends on the individual phone and it's software. The 810 has more potential than the 808 ever could..
One test do not a trend make :D. In German, but you get the idea:

    Starting a trend:

There is no way in this world, or the next :D that the average G4 can consistently outperform the average OP2.

It's science, not wishful thinking. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

So the better way to test how the phone works in the real world is without human interaction??? Lol

Just letting you know G4 is within 50 dollars of the OPT now in price so it does complicate the value proposition of the OPT.
G4 offers superior screen, expandable storage, replaceable battery and much better camera.

I did not, what did you get tgat idea from...

Yes, it seems its a great device, op relly dropped the ball on opt, and they will need to put a new device out fast.
Only #hype and no contents with new op, and it gets killed even before they sold any bigger numbers of it.

G3 was cheaper then opo last year, and LG still made $ so op have no profits i doubts.

It certainly will beat the G4 in one thing the melt down challenge.
You seem to forget 2 important things:
    1. The G4 is running a QHD screen
    2. The G4 is not running a near stock custom ROM.
When I removed the LG ROM fromy G2 and ran a custom romnthe benchmark improved by 7k. With the every usage of the device improved.
I've seen the G4 get 56k so if you apply a improvement gained on the G2 that's 63k which is still more than the OP2.
Wishful thinking No, just basic maths.

If, if, if. If the G4 had a 7422, it would score 80k. If the OP2 had a custom rom, it would score 70k. It is what it is.

I won't send you my invite but it will be posted here for grabs when I do get it. I have no desire or intention of getting the OPT, I am not a big believer in rewarding companies for incompetence.

As for me buying the LG G4, also no. Its a great phone but I am happy with my OPO, Nexus 6 and soon to be 2015 N 5

Yes. When testing you need to remove the variables that can just randomly change the results. If not it's no result.
