...And prices will come down when things recover? ?
There ends the Party Political Broadcast on behalf of the OnePlus party
It's been a long time since a oneplus staff member have posted somthing worth reading. Good to see not everything is kept in the dark.
We did drop the price back at the beginning of last year, also because of the huge drop in currency. It was not nice
Now I'm angry! Damn you brexit!
Hey, give the brits a little breathing room.
Sure their whole political system is in crisis.
(And they can't even play football anymore).
But once they are out of the EU, they will go
back to being the superpower, they used
to be - and rightfully deserves to be.
It's always a shame the price has to go up but needs must !
great to here is from official sources.
Enjoy the Oneplus 8.
Lol. They stopped being a Superpower in the 50's, long before joining the EU. We are now just a small, overpopulated island. Some of us accepted this quite some time ago.
@David S. some people were expecting to buy the OnePlus X. If you're saying people should buy sooner rather than later, then perhaps OnePlus should explain sooner (rather than never) if it will be restocked one last time or not.
Oh, and please don't ignore this question like the rest of OnePlus seems to be doing.
And by the way, thank you for the heads-up, it's greatly appreciated
So does this mean the price increase is going to hit only the Uk or the rest of the EU as well? I am asking because for example our German friends pay in Euro's while i that live in Sweden pay in SEK. Will the price bump affect us as well even though we are not using Pounds as a currency when we buy the OP3 from the OP shop?
What i'm trying to figure out is if the currency transition is like this:
USD > Euros
Or is it
USD>Pounds>euros or something like that. How is the conversion being made when setting the price for the diffrence currency's
Currency exchange rate is a MAIN factor, but it doesn't take a financial genius to figure out, that it is not the only factor, when pricing a physical object (as opposed to e.g. an online service). You have to take freight-prices, taxes and customs into consideration aswell.
LOL thanks for that, its probably a much needed message to cheer us up, well those of us 'remainers' anyway!!
You think too much!
The OPO did drop again from 350€ to 300€ after it's price was temporarily raised because of the weak Euro.
I think when Oneplus does it's business in Dollar all other currencies are exchanged against it individually. They do not exchange Euro to pound to Dollar. Why should they do that?
Well i don't know. But will this affect rest of europe or not?
As of now - not. We'll see in the future.
In three years time we'll be getting the best deals possible. Wait and see how this all pans out when we stop propping up 20 poorer countries and remove ourselves from those bureaucratic idiots in Brussels. 2 weeks ago they spent 90 million dollars on f*****k art!
The new price could be £329 as after reloading the price changes from 399 which I'm guessing Is the price in USD then it goes down to £329 I don't think other places have this device for 329
