So yeah... been thinking, that is there really a custom rom that is better than original Oxygen OS.

I like the Oxygen OS and it has a good reputation as being like stock android, but with tweaks.
I would like to have a little bit more options in terms of customization like themes.
Better camera software ( possibly) and like if there is a possibility to have better battery life.
I have been using my OnePlus 3 for a year now and a little change would be nice. Right now i have the latest Open Beta version, Android 8.0.

Tell me your opinions and any suggestions/advices would be appreciated!

Battery Life Can Be Achieve By Tweaking Stuff, But Not Been Able Tweak Stuff To Because There Are So Many Customization To Get Used To Or Finding Optimal Customizations!

If you like oxygen, you don't actually need a custom rom to get a better themes, camera and battery life. Try installing substratum (themes), Google camera app (ported from pixel) and a custom kernel (tweak battery life and performance - recommend Franco kernel).

Search the forum and xda for these ones. Whole new phone with the same rom.

Note that some of these might not work on oreo yet. I think that at least the Google camera should work.

So if you don't find anywhere that they already support oreo, maybe it would be wise to wait a couple of new beta releases before trying, specially with the kernel. Or maybe downgrading to nougat and trying these all at once.

AFAIK yes, but not 100% sure. I have magisk root (still not working on oreo) since buying the phone, so don't know if this things work without it.

Substratum theme engine must work on Oreo build without Root, as Oreo has built-in Overlay Manager Service (OMS). Try it..

    1.resurrection remix.
2.miui (not funny its very performative in oneplus 3 so give it a shot.
    3.lineage os.

    Please try using TWRP recovery
Backup of oxygen os is recommended.

With constant battery issue over stock OOS (android OS draining battery with Mobile Radio Active), i moved to Lineage OS and i am happy with the ROM. I am getting atleast 4 hours SOT with heavy usage.

heard about freedom OS, and Resurrection Remix. they are good too.

if you want OOS Stock ROM feature in Custom ROM- Go for Freedom OS
If you want Stock Android-Lineage OS
I you want lots of customization- Go for Resurrection Remix.

    Vertex rom.
Basically oxygen os with alert slider customisation, substratum support, and based on an eas based kernel. Very smooth, close to aosp, battery life equal to or slightly better than oxygen. Camera slightly worse than stock.
Not as customisable as rr or purefusion though. But really smooth and stable.

oh, substratum may be not stable at the moment, wait for sometime, as Substratum without root is in early stages, they will fix it in the near future
