OnePlus 3 GBP Pricing Change from July 11

As we outlined in our heads-up post a few days ago, we’ve seen a downward trend for the Pound against the USD over the past two years. While we’ve held off action for as long as we can, the sharp drop witnessed in the currency markets following the Brexit decision has forced us to re-evaluate the OnePlus 3’s pricing in the UK at a time of significant demand.

Given the effects of the unstable markets on our extremely thin margins, we’re reluctantly going to have make some small changes to our pricing structure for the device. In practical terms for our customers, this means that from July 11, 2016 (that’s next Monday), the OnePlus 3 will be £329 in the UK.

There’s still time to pick up the device at the current price of £309. We said that we’d give you as much notice as possible, and we’re committed to taking the hit over the next few days and absorbing the resulting losses.

Please note that this increase only applies to the price of the OnePlus 3. Accessories will not be affected, and will remain and their current prices in GBP.

We’re keen to ensure that our fans always receive the very best value, and we try to be as open and honest as possible. Thank you for your understanding and your support.

    Never Settle.

Not according to your graph. o_O
Anyway, tis' a shame the price is going up, but understandable. Glad you have given UK customers/fans some notice.

It's normal, every price is eventually going up in UK after brexit.

We need to appreciate that OnePlus are still a company - they experience profits and losses like any company does. I'm glad that they're giving their fans the opportunity to still buy the phone at the ordinary price though. :)

You are right, the decline has been over the past two years (I've edited the post to reflect that) with a big accent after the Brexit voting :(

I was eagerly awaiting the soft gold variant, looks like I'm just going to have to be like everyone else and get the grey version

    I expect:
    • The % mark-up for accessories is significantly higher and delivery is not included (unless purchased with the phone); therefore, OnePlus could afford to take a small hit on accessories.
    • The increase necessary to smooth out the difference between the currencies is so minute that it's not worth the bad press.
    • The £20 increase of the OP3 also includes any loses on the devise's accessories.

£20 is a slight increase we appreciate that and the time given to still purchase at £309 but are you saying £20 was the difference between loss and profit OnePlus?

Also, the soft gold version, the (invetiable) price increase on it , is it also £20 or more OnePlus?

£20 isnt awful but it's a shame the gold version wasnt out so we could grab that before the price change

I just hope if things bounce back then they'd lower the price again but i doubt that

    Can't blame OnePlus for this.

Applaud the amount of notice though. Really nice.

@David S. How about being open and honest about when our phones will be delivered then. Still waiting for my phone that was ordered and paid for on the 14th June - or are you waiting for the 11th July so you can ask me for another £20 before you'll deliver it?
