As the title says, OnePlus will NEVER get my business back with this phone. I came here from my defunct OnePlus One that they replaced with another one with a broken modem to see if just by chance they will finally make a 5.5 inch phone that has an SD card slot and nope, they still do not make the product for everyone like they claim, they make it for people with a storage limited or data streaming mentality. Well guess what OnePlus, I have a 128 GB MicroSD card with music on it, I keep my music high quality for my studio grade earbuds. In Canada we still only get 2GB of LTE data for an excessive overcharge if you use more than that, plus half our country still doesn't have cell service on the account of it being so big, and I work in those rural areas!!! When do you start to give a "S" for ALL OF YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS????????????? Back to my ASUS Zenfone 2!

They don't care. 64GB is enough for most and next year when it includes an SD slot it will give customers a reason to buy that model. Simple really.

He's angry OnePlus didn't include an SD slot. It's perfectly normal to be so angry over how a phone company specs out their phones, especially if you haven't actually even bought the thing.

Does anybody know why there is no SD card option?
I am one of the guys which never need 50Gb so I don't care so much, but a lot of people seem to need it.... So why not simply build in that option?

it's an extremely thin phone I guess this wouldn't be possible with SD slot. I'll take the sleekness.

For me 64gb is plenty enough, so I'm not complaining:)

It does go on to say in one article you linked about the drop in performance when using an SD card also. I don't see the need for much more storage right now.

If you want a good music player, buy a dedicated one. You can get one that's small and cheap that will kill any phone for sound.

Like many others, I don't need an SD card. If you do, buy something else. There are plenty phones with an SD slot.

Cost. Lets say £5 X ?millions for the hardware, design, software( that they struggled with on the X) This would all come off the bottom line.
