Network/Connectivity oneplus 3 wifi is very sensitive and keeps disconnecting.

i have tried different routers. i have tried mobile hotspots. i have tried public wifis. the issue is that the OP3s wifi is very sensitive to fluctuations/interference while other devices can and will keep a connection during minute fluctuations/interference.

since this happens on all wifi connections, i will have to go manually change each and every person's wifi channel i connect to.

Had the same issue for the first time today after I got home, had the phone for 2 weeks so must have been a rare bug. Pinged a PC in Terminal Emulator and noticed a drop roughly every minute, with an exclamation mark showing on the Wi-Fi icon. Reboot resolved it though

I've had this same problem on my OP3 ever since I got it a few weeks ago - WiFi disconnects randomly, incredibly slow speeds and horrible range. I have 100 mbps connection speeds from my ISP and a TP Link Archer AC3200 tri-band WiFi router. My Nexus 6P never had WiFi issues on the same router, connection was always rock solid and I got 100 mbps down over WiFi from every corner of my house. With the OP3 I'm lucky to get 25-30 mbps standing right in front of the router. At first I thought it was the router so I called TP Link technical support and they walked me through how to properly adjust the channels to avoid excessive interference, but that didn't change anything. My wife's Nexus 5X works great, our smart TV and Chromecast work flawlessly, two MacBooks work fine all on the same router, but my OP3 is the only device in our house that cannot maintain a reliable, fast connection. OnePlus better get their act together and address this ASAP, poor WiFi performance is ruining an otherwise perfectly good phone for me.

Had problems with all my radios after both 3.2.x OTAs. First I tried the Network settings reset from the Settings, Backup & reset, Network setting reset menu. That didn't help with my LTE radio but everything else seemed to be working fine. Thine I tried to download the full image and adb sideload it from a computer using the USB cable. You won't lose any data or anything, it just overwrites the whole system folder and that corrected the remaining issue. I don't know if you really need the Network settings reset but if anyone tries this let us know your results. Good luck!

    OxygenOS 3.2.1 : OnePlus 3 OxygenOS 3.2.1

I do this from the adb directory and I also copy my iso to the adb directory. so the command would be:
    For Windows: adb sideload OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_011_all_1607052050_0e5983ace5314161.zip
    For Mac/Linux: ./adb sideloadOnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_011_all_1607052050_0e5983ace5314161.zip

    Hi,Facing same wifi issue here.

I just found that enabling bluetooth seems to make wifi less disconnecting/stopping.

    [Edit]
After more test, I am not sure that enabling bluetooth help. Rebooting box sems better

I can confirm all of the findings so far in this thread. I also experience sub-par WiFi signal at home as well as regular disconnect/reconnects, and sometimes it doesn't even reconnect at all until you manually click on the profile. This can happen irrelevant of your distance from the router. The Nexus 5 and Sony Z5 Compact on the same network do not suffer from these issues, and the settings are identical.

OP need to look into this for sure.

That's the next test, changing my network to 2.4ghz, I have tried nearly everything else now except one or two other things. Need a short amount of time to do this because all of my Chromecast Audio's are on 5ghz and I use those all of the time so need to get them swapped over too. Will try it and see if the situation improves. It is a poor show that my 2.5 year old Nexus 5 wipes the floor with this on 5ghz ac.

I have raised a ticket with OP - which was like pulling teeth just to get a ticket raised in the first place. Now I have to reply to the email with all the details. Doubt i'll get anywhere but at least it's in writing if I have to return the unit!

I am also frustrated with this WiFi issue. I got a replacement phone from OnePlus yesterday (as the previous one had this issue) and the replacement phone has the same issue. I don't know whether they are looking into this. Maybe there is a software update needed. At least there should be some communication from OnePlus on this.

Yeah me too having the same problem. I think it's hardware problem. For me the wifi network is automatically disconnected. Even though my mobile is detecting other nearby wifi networks(but it takes time to detect other networks too). It can't able to detect my wifi network. So i checked with the router but there's no problem in it. As my other devices able to connect with it without any problems. Then after few minutes it automatically connects with my wifi network. Till now it happened for 4 times.
