I hope you have better luck than I've had. For me the problem persists with 2.4 as well as 5 GHz bands.

Probably a software problem that was in the software from starting as the op3 use similar parts to all other phones in the market.

Also feeling the same problem recently.

    My router has 2 signal, 1 2.4GHz and 1 5GHz
When I am at in a further room from the one I put my router, even the Wifi signal is around 3/5 - 4/5 ,it will just abandon the wifi and switch to mobile data and immediately connect to another signal when there is any dip in the signal strength.

As it keep disconnect and switching from difference wifi signal and mobile data, it disconnect any continuous download. Long website will just cannot load the bottom part, Youtube videos will stuck at buffering, Facebook timeline will be cut.

Please someone from OnePlus team try to fix this. As this has never happened on my OPO and other devices like Nexus 4 or Nexus 7

I think you guys should try ryanjf's advice from the previous page (adb sideload from computer via usb). Use the 3.2.1 files from the official downloads page and see how it goes. There's a chance the 3.2.1 OTA could have corrupted during the download.

I had the same problem. At the moment it seams to be fixed after I switched on the old DCHP client implementation in the developer settings (in the network section).

then this explains OP3 having problem on all wifi connections for me but how come some people have it and others dont? it seems that OP3 doesnt like automatic ipv4-ipv6 switching either. ill try your workaround and see if it helps me.

I tried this already, and it didn't seem to make a difference to the poor speed/signal from the OP3. I will try it again though to see if it helps with the random disconnections, I seem to remember I had the same behaviour either way.

I'm having no issues with WiFi. In fact, this is the best wifi performing phone I've had. I get better wifi than my girlfriends iPhone 6s.

I have Verizon Fios 50 up and 50 down and it's flying. Before this I had an LG G3 and an amazon Fire Phone rooted with CM. Both sucked.

The screenshot is from me standing in my bathroom on the upper level of my place, at least 3 rooms away and separated from the router by a full level.

So there are a lot of bugs here: wifi disc., bad video audio, voip audio, etc. Hope for somebody in 1+ testing this device before production. I am willing to buy, but only after solving this issues

Have you tried using Wifi at there for a long period of time? Like streaming a movie or playing online games or scrolling though facebook timeline for an hour or so.

Since I don't have speed issue but it just disconnect and reconnect the network when I am in my bathroom (3 walls away from my router, 3/5 to 4/5 signal strength). The issue happen quite randomly when the signal is dip a little, it drop the wifi connection and immediate connect to another one.

The issue I'm having is the wifi disconnecting when the screen is off, it keeps doing it and will reconnect when I unlock the screen. I have the power settings set correctly and yet it's acting like I have some sort of power save thing on.

I didn't have this issue when I first received my Oneplus 3. I went and updated to the latest os update, and now I notice that the wifi toggles on and off repeatedly. I've tried to reset the wifi pairing, but that did not solve it. Anyone have a solution?

I've noticed that this is intermittent. It will toggle on and off for a while then it stops on it's own... I'm running on 2.4 wifi with no bluetooth devices currently. I've checked the channels and no one else is on my channel. Also all my other devices (non-android) are working fine on the wireless. Does anyone have a recommendation for an all around wifi/bluetooth analyzer?
