    I think 2.4ghz is too overcrowded, I do a test on my old galaxy note 3... 2.4ghz: 39Mb/s, 5ghz: 88Mb/s... so it's normal, there's nothing problem here

No op 3 in 2.4ghz and S7 also in 2.4ghz show a huge difference in speed but didn't in 5ghz that I am trying to say.

Hey guys check out the pcmag review of the OP3, just skip to the part where he talks about connection issues, and then check the comments. Apparently he has a quote from Carl saying the OP3 uses an X7 as opposed to the X12 that should come with the SD 820. However, Qualcomm says it uses the x12, so I don't know what's going on. Check it out and let's get some answers

Finally at home to test this myself:

    5GHz- 125Mb/s
    2.4GHz - 90Mb/s

In line with my families iPhone 6 and 6s.

No issues here at all with connection either.

I'll get screenshots up in a bit but this is what I just tested:

    Wife's iPhone 6:
    5GHz - 125.52 Mb/s, 23.88 Mb/s
    2.4GHz - 85.69 Mb/s, 22.71 Mb/s
    IMG_20160622_222852_01.png IMG_20160622_222859_01.png

    Son's (cracked screen) iPhone 6s:
    5GHz - 112.26 Mb/s, 22.77 Mb/s
    2.4GHz - 66.57 Mb/s, 22.12 Mb/s
    IMG_20160622_222830_01.png IMG_20160622_222839_01.png

My OnePlus 3 previous results (from my desk chair while in hand):
    5GHz - 125.36 Mb/s, 14.38Mb/s
    2.4GHz - 92.76 Mb/s, 16.24 Mb/s
    Screenshot_20160622-221751.png

New OnePlus results from same position on desk as iPhones were:
    5GHz - 124.33 Mb/s, 22.95 Mb/s
    2.4GHz - 103.38 Mb/s, 23.32 Mb/s
    Screenshot_20160622-225351.png

Not sure what's up with the 2.4Ghz antennas but they seem to fluctuate. I'm not going to do a real scientific test with many samples. With the 5GHz antennas clearly showing similar results (my HTC M7 reaches 125 Mb/s as well), I am good.

This is all on Comcast's 105 Mbit plan, so getting 120+ is pretty damn nice.

Not sure where you saw that. But the guy in pcmag hasn't given any link so the resource is unreliable. Officially oneplus has said that x12 modem is on board and also Qualcomm in their site indicates that x12 is in the heart of the device.

I was a bit worried about this too since people complained but wifi is as fast as you can expect it to be. I get 150/150Mbit/s on 5Ghz (which is my connection completely maxed out and then some).

2,4Ghz is just simply slower so don't try to get 5Ghz speeds on 2,4Ghz. This is partly due to the crowdedness of the 2,4Ghz frequency basically everywhere.

That's what I was thinking, I just wanted to make sure that this wasn't true. I wasn't sure since one the OP2 they went with the X8 modem which was lower than some SD 810s that came with the X10. But qualcomm reported that the OP2 had the X8 so they've never dropped the ball

    Team,

Even I noticed this with OP3 with Speedtest.net. I was checking my Moto X style along with OP3 with Airtel WIFI 16MBPS connection. Strangely Moto X style was able to pull more bandwidth compared to OP3. Almost everytime the speed reported by Moto X style was higher compared to OP3. Is this something that I should be worried ?

Not sure about any of you guys but I just received my OP3 today and it's been flawless in terms of WiFi speed and connection & Bluetooth so far.

Compared with my Moto X Play (Cat 4 LTE), speeds over WiFi WAN are above what I get. I average about 105Mbps with the Cat 4 LTE (150Mbps) Moto X Play. It's been somewhere around 165-185Mbps with the X12 modem in the OP3. Keep in mind my internet is 300Mbps download/20Mbps upload cable internet. On GbE Ethernet I average around 270-290Mbps. On my iPad Air 2 WiFi right beside my OP3, it gets around the same as my OP3.

I'm using a D-Link DIR-868L Wireless AC router with Tomato-shibby v135 firmware on 5GHz. The link speed over 5GHz on the OP3 is 433Mbps and for reference 867Mbps on my iPad Air 2 and 150Mbps on my Moto X Play

I just received my oneplus 3. It's nice but I notice my wifi status app shows about half the speed as my other phone and computer. I have a cheapo 2.4ghz wireless N router. The wifi work just fine but the max speed is half. LTE is the same as my last phone.

Very simple. S7 uses two mimo WiFi, so the speed is double and less speed drop.

No big deal for a phone. We do not need that fast.

Macbook two mimo can get 866mbps while op3 gets 433mbps which is half.
