I have only had my phone a few months and think this is a unbelievably high quality built device, I paid good money not so long back and see that a new model is about to be released, with 8gb ram, 6" LCD screen and a 821 snapdragon processor, now if I had have known this and this rumour is actual fact then this move by oneplus is not the best for people like myself who will probably have the firmware upgrades pushed to the side making way for the more superior model, this has happened with the one, two, x and now the 3. If this was true I would have used my op2 until the new model arrived, to be honest buying a flagship that's only been out a few months then told a better one is coming is a slap on the face and pissed me off and probably other op3 users who will have a inferior model only a few months old.

One plus is upgrading once per year and nobody forces you to always buy the flagship. It is your free will and decision.

I totally disagree, if this is released that would be well within 1 year, actually a matter of months. I am free to choose what flagship I want but I don't expect to replace it every few months.

Doesn't make sense that OP will make that kind of move effectively quashing it's flagship within months with this new phone. Anyway I don't need a 6" LCD phone with 8gb ram, when they can't even utilise the 6gb on the existing op3. If it's true good luck to them. I don't want a tablet phone and I don't need to upgrade and I don't normally go for the next phone up in a brand.

There are lots of better quality flagships you might want to consider buying instead of buying a bigger version of the same thing. Think of the iPhone 7s or Galaxy s7 edge. Looks like you got the money, so grab one and stick a finger up to OP!

What you are saying is silly. Why would you need to replace it?

And there is always a newer phone in the pipeline. This reminds me of the peak of personal computers. The saying back then was that no matter what you bought there was a newer more powerful PC being loaded on the back of a truck somewhere.
