My brother uses OnePlus 3T and he is using an alphanumeric passcode for his phone since last year. Everything was fine till today afternoon.

After restarting his phone the initial lock screen is showing a numerical pad to enter password whereas his password contains an alphabet.

Now he is locked out of his own phone even though he knows the correct password. Can anyone please check the same and let us know if there is any way to reset / change password using his old passcode. He used the same password for apps as well and used it till this afternoon.

All the options on the android community and OnePlus forum suggest wiping the device. This is a valid option when someone forgets the password. In this case, we know the password but we can't enter the password.

Any help is greatly appreciated. @OnePlus @Pete

    Thank you.
