    Hi OnePlus 3T community, good day!
    I have noticed that my storage got 17GB of unknown files which I'm unable to find for me to delete it, I used 3rd party file explorer but still no avail.
    Can someone explain to me what are these files in 'OTHER' and is it possible to clear it?

    OxygenOS version: 5.0.1
    Android version: 8.0.0
    Storage: 64GB

    it's usually logs.

    do this -

    Settings-->Developer Options-->Logs.
    Then press "Delete history log" and uncheck "save log".

    then delete oem_logs folder using file manager, if it's still present

    Its all the data files from the apps you have installed. It doesnt count them to the apps data usage

    Have you checked that your third party explorer app isn't storing your deleted files in an effective recycle bin? I had the same issue with es file explorer and you have to turn off the autosave deleted files option as well as finding the deleted files folder and emptying it.

    All the messaging apps data in there..it stores all pictures/videos you send out...find those apps like WhatsApp and find the media folder to clear them out..

    OEM_LOG Files would be the culprit.

    WhatsApp Backup files consume a lot. You will need to deep dive your internal storage using file explorer.

    Also major chunk of others is your Installed Apps.

    See below.
    Screenshot 1 shows Apps = 10.76 GB
    Screenshot 2 doesn't show Apps ; which means 10.76 of 14 GB others is Apps.
