I was using my phone normally, but suddenly it turned off without any notice. When I tried to switch on, it said, battery too low. I knew that my battery percentage was above 70.

When I charged my phone, it showed "Battery Temperature too low". But after a while, I was able to switched on the phone, but the battery percentage was 50% and was not able to charge.

When I went to *#808# code to view my battery condition, the temperature was showing -40C but condition was showing good.

Any one had faced similar problem? Please I need to find a solution before I go to repair shop.

The thermistor in the battery that is used to measure temperature is damaged that's why it's saying battery temperature too low. I also had the same issue and I replaced the battery. Edit: After a month when I was playing PUBG while charging the same issue happened. But battery was out of stock in service center so I waited. Fortunately after 2-3 week it's normal again, idk how?

I replaced the battery of my phone with after market battery because I did not feel find the original one. The after market battery has original logo but it did gave me issues. The issue was that whenever the phone gets below 15% battery, the phone gets turnoff. I again replaced a battery and same thing happened. After I decided to open my phone which was very easy with right tools and decided to replace with the original battery that came with the phone just to see if still showed the temperature alert. When I put it on charge, it started to charge. I leave it to charge on 100%. After that I booted my phone and amazingly the battery was working fine. I was shocked to see that it was working just like before.

I do not know why it showed that temp alert before. Maybe you should try again with your original battery. It worked for me maybe it will work for you.

I just wasted $25 on after market battery.

maybe there was some kind of static electric issue that caused this problem. I am not an expert on this.. I just tried and it worked.

My friend had same issue but it didn't work as mine..

i have a one plus 5 that is having almost the same issues. the difference is it says battery too low connect to a charger and if i do a few things with it then it changes into battery temp too low but it doesn't go any further from the one plus logo and keeps on restarting. i have no idea wtf is happening to it honestly. even the oneplus support haven't any clue i don't know how that is possible? i am in contact with them and they haven't provided any proper solution till now. which is a shame for them. now i know after doing a little research that this a very old problem and i can't find a proper solution on internet. almost everyone have a different solution. Thank God its not my primary phone or i would have been so much angry with oneplus. its been off for a week now. 8gb and 128gb useless device.
