While connected to my Bluetooth device, my Bluetooth randomly turns off when I'm on the train and connection is spotty. Also sometimes Bluetooth devices aren't visible until I reboot device.

I have a similar BT problem. I usually use my phone to stream radio to a BT speaker. With the OP5 (4.5.5) I'm often unable to discover other BT devices. Once, I was able to discover when I closed the connection to the speaker, but recently, that didn't help either.

The symptom is easy to spot. Usually when you enter the BT dialog, a circle starts spinning at the lower part of the screen, indicating a scan being active. But when the problem appears, that circle doesn't appear.

Sometimes, it's possible to fix it by turning BT off/on, but sometimes not.

I *think* this behavior is new since 4.5.3, but I can't say for sure.

Happens to me too, at least once a day, and then i have to restart the Bluetooth.
Is there a solution to this problem?

I was facing same for some time. But I know a Solution.
    1) Go to Settings.
    2) Go to Location.
    3) Click on 3 dots option located on top right corner.
    4) Click on Scanning.
    5) Disable Bluetooth Scanning.

This will solve your problem coming with the phone.
