    "Fiddle with camera" is a HUGE understatement and where they invested through development cycle. Price 'hike' is where they get this money back. If camera turns out ok, they'll probably keep if for next model or two without new investment and drop price in next models.

    I compared OP3 and OP3T to others but can't for the life of me justify 64gb without SD card. However 128GB was sold out for ages. I could have went with S7 /w LineageOS but S7 is so easy to break.

    I don't think OP5 is meant for people with OP3 and OP3T as that hardware is pretty new.

    Can't wait to get my 128gb OP5. Good luck shopping for S8 and G6.

    Camera is a big upgrade. Much faster though the 3t was fine. If you upgrade often the differences won't be that big. The trick to being more impressed is upgrading every few years.

    Perhaps that's OP's thinking, like Apples, so next year we'll see the big changes in an attempt to retain the OP3/3T customers when they start to upgrade their phones after two years use. The problem for OP is who's going to be buying the OP5 in 6 months time when a SG8 will probably be far cheaper and by then the new Pixels etc will be out, when the OP5 is only a slight improvement on the 12 months old OP3/3T phones?

    Nice enough phone but too expensive to justify upgrading from OP3.

    Next year's OP6 had better be exceptional and no more than the OP5 price or its going to lose customers.

    OP had always been about a great phone at an unbeatable price. The way it's going it'll be just another HTC or LG. Nice phone but too expensive.

    The thing is I always sell my phone between 4-6 months of use. That way I don't lose alot of money and I try a bunch of phones. Pixel doesn't have enough customization for me, and I hate the TouchWiz ui of Samsung. For the 128 it was about 115$ canadian more than the 3t. 64g. And the 64g 5 is only $50 more Canadian dollars. That's a very reasonable increase in my opinion

    I think the 64gb/6gb ram option is still a very good purchase. Unless you have to absolutely have 128gb of storage I suggest to avoid the more expensive option. I don't see the 8gb ram as helpful in real life at this time in android's life.

    The price was always going to increase due to the hardware. Be interesting what One Plus do for there next phone, increase much more and you will start putting people off.

    In my opinion the price hike IS worth it, due to OnePlus's "overkill" mind set, they have lost sight of a budget phone and have gone for the gold, they want to openly compete against the big players. But because of that they are using newer technology that is going to cost more in the long run. But you are getting (what I consider, others may disagree) the best top of the line phone, for half the price of what you would buy (S8, iphone 7+) any other flagship for. While there are plenty of issues (False benchmarks, Camera overhype, Camera specs oversold, etc), they package one hell of a phone and put a lot of care into it.

    I don't think if any games need 8 GB of RAM, Asphalt 8, MK X, Modern Combat, Injustice 2 all works perfectly fine on even 4 GB of ram. 8GB is worthless. 6GB is enough for even Android O and P.
