Can i use the patched img file for 10.0? Or does it have to be 10.0.1?
So if you know how to download the patched img file for 10.0.1 please let me know

I think this is the thread you're looking for

    https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...hed-boot-image-magisk-16-7-beta-t3818853/amp/

The OP hasn't updated for the latest patch though so i guess you'll have to wait.

Also if you have unlocked your bootloader why don't you flash twrp? It will help you if your device gets bricked or if you want to flash custom kernels and mods.

The link you provided is for the beta. Someone might have a patched boot img for 10.0.1 i think.

Well you need to have a backup in order to restore from twrp. If it didn't work for you once that doesn't mean it wont work in the future as well.

You need to take a full backup once of your stock rom without any modifications and then you can restore it any time your phone gets bricked. It fails only in very rare cases like when your phone gets hard bricked or if you have encryption related issues.

Also you can delete specific magisk modules from recovery so if you install an incompatible one you can easily delete it and reboot.

There are patched boot images for oos 10 in the thread as well so if the dev is still active he might update for 10.1 too.
