maybe it's too heat so the glass is weak and when you swamped it it cracks. so when you phone is heat you mus stop for a while.

really a problem on my front glass... I know gorilla 5 is not scratch proof but not suppose to be too easy...

didn't have screen protection on mine for 2 months and the phone didn't drop.. stays on my pocket.. but there are scratches few places... so, if small particles can scratches the front glass...
the back one surely not as tough as it suppose to be.

I have another iPhone which also no SP, been using for 2 months, same that it's on the pocket. still clear and no scratches.

Same thing happened to mine. Noticed what looked like a hair inside the case through the camera opening, so I took the case off to get it out and it had that impact-looking crack starting from the slider. Taken extra good care of and been in an official OnePlus case the whole 5 months I've owned it. Never been dropped or hit.

Cheaper to order another $30 back glass and replace it myself than to mess around getting it fixed... but I shouldn't have to. Glad to see a billion other threads and posts on it, so it's a known issue even if OnePlus doesn't want to own up to it.

This looks like it got a slight damage from a pointy item (key?) on the very edge; which caused the cracks to spread with time.
The thing you said about cold and charging just makes no sense. The glass was not on 0°C and then immediately wet to 500°C upon charging. Glass is a bit harder than this; and it would usually start on curved parts which have more tension due to molecule bendings. Don't go there. :D

My vote goes on accidental pocket damage or it fell down.

not maby at 0 celcius but here in North of Sweden we can get up to -40 celcius and if it then already has a small crack it can grow..

I have been using OP6 for one year now and take so much care in using it! I even daily open the case and clear the sand trapped, and today to my surprise, there were these cracks! Mobile neither was dropped nor was hit by anything. And after i have seen so many other posts , having the similar crack, originating from the same exact point on the back midnight panel, i m sure there is some problem here.

You are totally wrong bruh! I have 6T and also have the crack same way the post pictures has. I was so frustrated that when I crashed my phone. But I couldn't remember that I actually smashed or dropped no where. And the same way, same side, same place near the volume button.

6T still has the same issue. I was shocked to see that back part was cracked so badly. And couldn't remember when I dropped or smashed on something which I didn't.

today I opened my case of OnePlus 6 to clean my phone. I find that the back glass is broken... it did not fall. I don't understand how the glass for cracked.
I find that many have this problem..

I think OnePlus should do something about it
