Since past 2 weeks I am facing this issue. Whenever I open camera. It goes completely black. I am so frustrated with it as my daily usage is from camera. I am attaching the screenshot below.

I have tried following things but it still didn't work.
    1. Factory resetting the complete mobile twice.
    2. Clearing app cache and data and also force stopping it.
    3. Disabling and enabling the camera app.

I request OnePlus to kindly take action for this issue as many are facing the same.

No, none of the app works. Infact when I open other app, the app crashes. It's been since 2 weeks

I have been to service centre and even after they repaired and gave it still doesn't work. The service centre guy tells me you need to replace the mobile as they too didn't have any solution for it.

They did a factory reset and then they told me they have installed some factory camera software as it is an software issue.

    Thought they repaired it.

can you please again visit a service center. They have to rule out a hardware issue (camera or motherboard).
If a (new) software (update) doesn’t help, it is probably a hardware issue

It is not a hardware issue. Have you not seen all the posts regarding the same issue on almost all of OnePlus models? Just type here or in your browser 'black screen on camera mode OnePlus' to see for yourself.
I have the same issue in the last few days. Is a mess by the manufacturer. They should be sorting this as a matter of urgency.
It's a massive fault for them. This is my first OnePlus (8pro) and definitely the last.

Well, good for you. But just imagine how would you feel if the camera on your OP don't work. Don't know about you, but I forked out best part of £900 for mine. I expect better for that price. I have learned my lesson.

I did. They said they will contact me, but they haven't yet. There's no harm in looking in forum's. This is how I found that the issue is so wide spread. And has been going on for a while. Not addressing it, speaks a lot of OnePlus support and for the company as a whole. I'm not sure in what capacity you post in this forum, but trying to convince people who's cameras are not working, that it is not a big deal is laughable.
