pathikshah1104 , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 2, 2022 : Since past 2 weeks I am facing this issue. Whenever I open camera. It goes completely black. I am so frustrated with it as my daily usage is from camera. I am attaching the screenshot below. I have tried following things but it still didn't work. 1. Factory resetting the complete mobile twice. 2. Clearing app cache and data and also force stopping it. 3. Disabling and enabling the camera app. I request OnePlus to kindly take action for this issue as many are facing the same.
harshit.b. , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 2, 2022 : When did this start to happen? Does the camera work on other app ?
Dresa91 , Jan 2, 2022 : You are posting in a user forum. If you request „OnePlus to kindly take action for this issue“ then please contact the support or visit a service center
pathikshah1104 , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 2, 2022 : No, none of the app works. Infact when I open other app, the app crashes. It's been since 2 weeks
pathikshah1104 , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 2, 2022 : I have been to service centre and even after they repaired and gave it still doesn't work. The service centre guy tells me you need to replace the mobile as they too didn't have any solution for it.
pathikshah1104 , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 2, 2022 : They did a factory reset and then they told me they have installed some factory camera software as it is an software issue.
Dresa91 , Jan 2, 2022 : Thought they repaired it. can you please again visit a service center. They have to rule out a hardware issue (camera or motherboard). If a (new) software (update) doesn’t help, it is probably a hardware issue
Dresa91 , Jan 2, 2022 : What is everything? and why do you think other users can help you know? I only can say: mainboard and camera have to be checked
T1578697745239 , via OnePlus 8 Pro , Jan 28, 2022 : It is not a hardware issue. Have you not seen all the posts regarding the same issue on almost all of OnePlus models? Just type here or in your browser 'black screen on camera mode OnePlus' to see for yourself. I have the same issue in the last few days. Is a mess by the manufacturer. They should be sorting this as a matter of urgency. It's a massive fault for them. This is my first OnePlus (8pro) and definitely the last.
T1578697745239 , via OnePlus 8 Pro , Jan 29, 2022 : Well, good for you. But just imagine how would you feel if the camera on your OP don't work. Don't know about you, but I forked out best part of £900 for mine. I expect better for that price. I have learned my lesson.
T1578697745239 , via OnePlus 8 Pro , Jan 29, 2022 : I did. They said they will contact me, but they haven't yet. There's no harm in looking in forum's. This is how I found that the issue is so wide spread. And has been going on for a while. Not addressing it, speaks a lot of OnePlus support and for the company as a whole. I'm not sure in what capacity you post in this forum, but trying to convince people who's cameras are not working, that it is not a big deal is laughable.
Narasimha saai , via OnePlus 6 , Jan 30, 2022 : I was facing the same issues for nearly 3months but then I received and update and after that my camera app and my phone in general is working fine!👍 You better check for an update.
