OnePlus 6 Changing Screen Hues/Colours Automatically

    SonuSingh786 , Nov 19, 2020 :
Recently my OnePlus 6 with OxygenOS 10.3.6 started changing the screen hues + colour saturation by itself whenever I would start typing on Chrome or use the keyboard for writing elsewhere.

Then it would go back to the normal calibration by itself in a while.

I have tried to fix it by deleting some recent apps I downloaded, but to no avail.

Please help as this is really annoying and the colour calibration it changes to are almost blinding.

I have too much data lying here and there to risk doing a factory reset at the moment. Hope there's a clarification from the brand soon.

Same issue here. As of yesterday my screen changes automatically to a bright blue-ish tint when longpressing to select text or tapping a search field in any app to start typing.

    Never changed any display settings.

Same here! The screen has really warm color even though I don't have the night mode on. Once in a while the screen turns to the opposite: really cold, blueish. And then back to the warm. The red color is way too over satured. So are blue and orange colors too.

Not sure if this is Android 10 Oxygen Os 10.3.6 or is the problem from Google Chrome update (which my phone did 17.11.).

Facing the same problem. But OnePlus has stopped taking feedback about old devices...they have just ignored 6 series.. which now needs a software upgrade for tweaking small things in system... OnePlus won't listen this too😌

I'm having the same issues. It started happening to me today. Anytime I type the screen goes super vibrant and blue light hue or warm , only if I'm typing it keeps changing constantly , and after a while it'll adjust back. It's super annoying. Anyone found a solution

Seems its a Chrome issue. Check the thread below.

For now if I lock the screen (with double tap or power button) and unlock it immediately it returns to normal hue/saturation. But this can't be the long term solution :-/

I tried this, I think it helped? The display isn't sailing anymore between cold and warm. And the colors are not as vibrant, but I still think that there are some oversaturation. With the night mode, I think the colors - especially red - are little too harsh. But maybe I could live with this?

So this seems to have done the trick. No issues so far since I turned the feature off on Chrome. Thanks a ton Caohmin for your help [e]1f44d[/e][e]1f44d[/e] really appreciate it.

If you are still having issues with the hue/saturation in Night Mode you can further adjust it in the display settings. Hope this helps.

When you tried the Chrome suggestion, did it do anything for it.
If you try the DC Dimming suggestion how does that work out.
Also Ram Boost, while it shouldn't have anything to do with it. Enable or disable Ram Boost to see if it makes a difference as well.
