yep it's not as secure as the apple system and this has been confirmed before.
Pin is best face unlock is a nice gimmick
Face unlock is not secure. use your Pin or Fingerprint scanner
We knew this in 2005
Only problem is, they mention Face Unlock right beneath Fingerprint as unlocking option. There isn't a mention anywhere that Face Unlock is less safe. The majority of the consumers don't know this... All they see is the Apple commercials and their face unlock and people think it is the same security wise.
soo true mate, new owners don't know the history of oneplus face unlock
if you have been alive in the past 10 years and had a cell phone you know they're not the same
Trust me, the general public doesn't have that notion. Even if they had phones over the last decade. They just buy a phone and don't check the specifications.
the issue with that notion is that the general public that wouldn't know about face unlock not being secure isn't the same group of people that would even know about OnePlus phones
the guy in the video is not even showing us the screen before it unlocks..it was already unlocked. this has been tested, OnePlus algorithm detects a fake attempt and doesn't unlock unless it's a real face.
wonder how easy it is to fool so many people at once.
Bull$hit I tested this the first day I had my OnePlus 6. I pulled up a picture on my 4K TV and my phone unlocked
never happened to me!!!
take a selfie with your OnePlus 6. transfer to your computer. pull up the picture on your TV screen. press the power button and face your phone towards the screen. give it a few attempts it will unlock
will try today
Spam spam spam..
This is old news guys.
It's a KNOWN thing, if you need security don't use face unlock.
It's easy to unlock and convenient but not secure.
Apologies, this post has been deleted by author.
I could literally draw two eyes and a nose on my *** and face unlock will let you in my phone
