    Hi there,

I have a small problem when I want to pair my OP6 with the Huawei Watch 2. The pair works fine and I get all the notifications on my watch.

I am using Android Pie on the phone, and this was not an issue on Oreo. The problem is that on my phone, under the Bluetooth quick icon I do not have the name of the watch like the pairing is not done. When I go to settings, I see the watch and I have the option to Connect enabled. When I press, it has a quick refresh and nothing happens.
If I go the Wear OS app, the watch says is connect and I get all the notifications. It just that the O2OS doesn't really understand that it is connected.

My question for you is: do you have the same behavior?
If there some other users that have this, I would report it on the forum sections. If not, maybe it's just a problem with my device?

Same issue. Me too with Huawei watch 2. The watch is connected and the notifications are ok, but in web based app like play store (on the watch), it doesn't work if there is not a WiFi connection too and it is always present the cloud icon on the display. I'm on the open beta 4. With Oreo in beta no issues.... I hope the developers will fix it asap....

    Hi,
Untofunatly I don't use beta :( Maybe someone has an opinion on this.
I really hope they will fix it. They said the watch does not have some driver support, but how did we see it in Oreo, if it didn't?

Exactly the same here with OP6 and Huawei Watch. It used to work perfectly with Oreo.

Did you remove the Wear app from battery optimisation ?

they said they were looking into it and they requested some logs.

go to the feedback section on the website and submit this as a bug, if you want to raise awareness regarding this problem to the development team.

It appears that if you turn off advanced battery optimisation then the issue is solved

really? I just saw that now it connects (and appears in tge quick tile icons, as it should), but it was right after the update. so i thought that it's from the update.
