oh, that was totally an error.
I thought I posted just one thread on the OnePlus 6/6T forum.

    let me check again

Just checked, and I don't know why OnePlus moved it here.

    I don't want it here.
I want it on the main forum page.

I almost feel like deleting this entire thread, so they won't have some other place to put and they'll let it be.

OnePlus didn't. The mods don't work for OnePlus. They just merged your multiple threads into one.

    oh ok
    the Mods.

    Aiit.
but that reduces visibility though, since they're not exactly duplicates

other users that have a similar issue, so they can know they're not alone.

though, I may be wrong about it being more visible.
    it's just what I felt

I guess this is Oneplus obsession to improve battery, killing every background app to avoid miss behaviour applications

    i guess so too.
They kinda behaving like Apple. Showing that they know better than us what's best for us.

I'd gladly give up some battery life for actual multitasking.

there's supposed to, at least, be an option for that.

I'd be too stupid to complain about reduced battery life when I flipped the switch myself

I just found out that the Pixel 3 had the exact same Spotify issue because of poor RAM management.

but they fixed the RAM management in the December update.
I don't know why OnePlus hasn't fixed this yet.

I don't think they've even acknowledged this issue exists.

my phone died not have this ram management issue. all apps stay open all the time. when you close the camera do you press the cross underneath the app? because that s the close all apps button. to close a single app, I swipe that app only up and that app only closes. all other apps stay open

3.7gb is average used not actual. it's for all running apps including those running in the background. eg your clock / alarm & things like location services all run in the background. the more aps you have installed the more is running in the background. Android takes care of this ( not OnePlus) by suspending open aps when you are running another, eg if I am running a sat nav, Android suspend the other apps, whilst I am using the day nav, though they stay in memory ready to use. I have seen nothing in your thread to allow any problems with your phone with the possible exception of having more apps running than you have memory for. I have the 8 GB version, average ram use is 4,5 GB & I have 5 to 8 apps open at any one time. I do take time to shut then down from time to time when I am not using them.

hmmm, I thought about that too. but OnePlus does impressive stuff with their software to make it fast, smooth and all. So jt makes me think they should be able to do something about it.
