Good we all agree that I should get a man purse. I've been looking for a nice leather one. Italian leather would be great but I suppose it doesn't matter. Indiana Jones style beat up leather looks so good.

OnePlus 6 is great minus the glass backing.

You can clearly see the impact was not from the edge of the screen but near the centre, either u placed it down hard on somthing or u dropped it. No way yours broke on its own

if u r covered by servify warranty that oneplus provides in case of breakage than u can get it repaired with nominal cost

Awesome. You posted this in the wrong forum, however.

I read this entire thread and find it wrong for some users to claim that people need to be more careful with their devices. I think most people who have a oneplus device are enthusiasts and take great care of their beloved devices.

I've had the one plus 6t for a couple weeks (since Dec 14) it's lived in the factory case since I setup the phone and has only been in my pocket or in a bag when not in use. I dont like having my phone in any pocket while I sit and it has its own mount for the car. Although I have taken the necessary precautions my rear panel has cracked in a similar pattern to others with normal use.

As for the case that came with phone it wouldn't be my first choice, but Oneplus believed it was adequate enough to include it. I will be replacing my phone through my warranty from tmobile and immediately adding a skin to the rear and putting it in a better case.

Fyi I realize that this a 1+ 6 thread but given they have a similar rear panel and the cracks look similar I wanted to post it here as it's all related.

The rear glass on my OP6 has also spider webbed. I have had the case that came with the phone on it from the time I unboxed. So I just happen to look more closely thru the simitransparent case covering the back when I noticed the glass being all cracked. I don't recall any incident that would have cause such a thing, but automatically assumed that that was just it; I don't recall it. So to see this thread makes me think perhaps I don't recall because I didn't allow anything to cause this much damage, with the case on, after all.

seeing your reply i think some manufacturering defect is there in mobile back glass.
really disappointed to think that i have a mobile whose back glass back can get break at any moment even taking the precautions

The pattern of the rear glass break is same in most of the posts in this thread but some people in this forum doesn't believe it. I am sure that there should be some manufacturing defect for some batches of mobiles which OnePlus is not acknowledging

This exact same issue happened to me as well. I've had a phone (OnePlus 6T) for less than a week in a case it came with. I have not dropped or pressed on this phone at any point only to discover same cracks on the back cover.

I've contacted OnePlus support and was told I need to send it in, which I promptly did. Then I received an email that this will not be covered and I had to pay repair costs. I referred to all the threads and websites reporting this issue and representatives reasoning was that he has OnePlus 6 and its fine...

This seem ridiculous that a flagship phone would literally fall apart like this without being dropped or pressured in any way. This is my first (and last) Chinese phone and all my previous flagships (Samsung, LG) went through allot more and had no issues what so ever.

This needs to be addressed by OnePlus as it is wide spread issue, instead of being ignored and being told "I have OnePlus 6 and its fine." Incredible..

There must be a reason. What type of case did you have and did you keep it in a tight-fitting pocket?

That is a good point. I sometimes keep mine is a tight fitting front pocket, and usually remove it before sitting. No problem so far, but still makes me worry.

Any form of unnecessary stress can contribute to cracking, even if it's unnoticeable. I personally wear loose-fitting pants with larger pockets and my red 6 is in perfect condition.
