You definitely sure about that? Could you take a picture with another phone to clarify this? Because even my 5T has the Install option.

You can install the recovery now, (at least i suppose.) Download a tool called "tool all in one" there you can install the twrp recovery for the 6.

That's because the op6 probably moved to A/B system partitions. The recovery on A/B devices is useless as the updates happen while the system is running. The only thing that the recocere you have can do is wipe data

Twrp can probably no longer be flashed with fastboot

that would be VERY bad. I always rooted my phones, and that would even be a reason for me to skip the 6...lol

    Hey Guys,
I'm the one who killed his phone cuz of lack of recovery.
I installed the Android P beta, missed the face unlook feature and wanted it back, so I installed the Oxygen OTA and everything seems fine. I started my phone, got to the startmenue where you have to connect to your wifi. After that I reached the part where it searches for Updates and boom. The update searcher just crashs and it redirects me back. Just stuck in this shitty startup menue...
    I think I'll kill myself?

Download the files i linked to, make sure you have adb installed:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3792643
    "
    ADB and Fastboot Drivers Installation

    1. Download & Update OnePlus 6 Drivers From Here
    2. Download & Update Fastboot and ADB Binaries/Drivers from Here

    3. Run the .exe file downloaded from above as Administrator.
    4. Press 'Y' every time the installer asks for.
    5. Continue Driver Installation.

Now, ADB and Fastboot have been installed on your PC and should be Working as desired."

    "
Turn the phone off. Then boot it into fastboot mode by holding volume up + power or select reboot to bootloader if advanced reboot is activated via developer options. The phone will display "fastboot" text indicating that it has successfully entered fastboot mode.

Plug the phone into your PC, then open a command prompt window on the desktop (Shift + Right Click -> Open Command Window here) and type:

    Code:
    fastboot devices
This command will list the connected devices. If your phones serial number shows up you are good to go and may continue. If the phone is NOT listed this indicates that your drivers are not installed correctly. In order for you to continue you must fix your drivers so that your phone is listed under fastboot devices."

Extract the img files to an folder, navigate to that fold in cmd, install each img by:
