Thank you.... I've rooted phones before... Are these ROM files are to be flashed through Odin right?

Odin is meant for Samsung phones.

It's sort of specific to Samsung but I've used it with other Android brands....Android handsets have that "download" splash screen when you use those button combinations that take you there, like when you boot into the Recovery using Home + power +volume down combo.

I only ask because One Plus is new Android tech & haven't rooted phones since the Samsung S5 so I figured Android 10 might work differently in terms of how it flashes ROM files..

Nope, with ROMs on OP, you just put the file in the root directory (not inside any folders) and install via Settings > System > System updates > cog on top right > Local upgrade.

That's awesome and straight forward. That's how I used to do it around early Android versions when you would flash a ROM by way of an SD card, putting the ROM file in the root of the SD card, boot into the Recovery & the flash files. Then later came Odin & simplified the process.

Eeeeeh. I think Odin made it easier to skirt the Knox feature on (older) Samsung phones.

@ironass It would be great if someone could take over the ownership of this thread, update to date and keep it alive as a sticky for OOS Downloadable zips.

What do you think, maybe one of the mods here?

It would be a lovely idea @Caomhin but just looking at how out-of-date the firmwares are in post #1, it would be a daunting task to bring it up-to-date. Perhaps, as you say, there may be some brave mod out there willing to take it on. :D

You'd need someone who could get hold of all the ROMs - full and delta, both the (now past) beta and the mainline.

I've kept a file of all the full ROMs in the mainline, because I needed them myself. If a mod gave me ownership of the thread, I'd be willing to maintain it with the full ROMs (I don't know how to get hold of the deltas).

I can't update my OnePlus 6 from Android 8 Oreo (pre-installed) to Android 9 Pie. I cleared cache and I'm not sure if I'm getting security updates either. Please help asap as I won't be able to update to Android 10. I really don't wanna flash bcoz don't have any idea about it. Just want to get the OTA and if possible any other easy option.

it happened with me too.. i guess after certain time update stops showing. Download 9.0.9 rom from xda or here and simply flash it , you don't need any expertise to do that.

Or I don't know whether it will work or not but just worth a try , change date to a year before and then try seeing your update , whether it shows or not , if not then you have to flash rom.

Guyz small query do i need to go for "oem unlocking" just to downgrade using rollback build.
because i didn't knew that earlier and i successfully rollback earlier but now seeing this , questions my earlier judgement. Did i miss something ?

No you don't need to OEM unlock.

    Follow the details listed below.

All Downgrades to earlier builds involve wiping the phone.

So you will need to backup your phone data.

Thanks to @ironass for putting this together.

This Link will guide you through the Downgrade process.

And here is a seperate guide to bring you straight back to Android 9 if you wish to go that far back.
