    Oneplus 6 won't charge with non-proprietary cable.
Forgot my cable at home, had a USC C type cable that worked before with my Oneplus 5, but I have tried with differnt power outlets, even different cables with Oneplus5 works but not with Oneplus 6.

Should be corrected, sometimes you forgot the dash cable, shouldn´t be the only way to charge your phone. Now Im going to be a week without phone....Frustating

    Any tips I appreciate it.

My OP6 works fine with Anker, and a number of other random 3rd party cables I've tried.

Mine works with every cable I've tried, including lots of MicroUSB with USB-C adapter on the end - in fact I hardly ever use Dash charger or cable!

    @Nunofcp Reboot, and it'll work.
I have the same issue, and I can charge one(1) time, before I have to reboot again, with a non-dash charger (tried a whole variety of power sources, all work fine on my wife's 5T).

If I reboot, it'll charge from any of them, one time, until I reboot again.
You can also leave it in Safe Mode, and it'll work repeatedly, but it's not a great thing for daily phone use.

The "time since last charge" never resets too, on a 2nd, 3rd, etc charge, it's values like "1d 4h since last charge", but 100% charged, or "2d 3h", it's a bit comical looking, somehow I used my phone for 2+ days, and never lost a bit of charge ;-]

@Tobikage This is exactly what I thought. They have a BUNCH of s/w related issues related to charging, this being one of them (only able to charge one time, from non-Dash, then need to reboot to charge agian).

maybe that replacement cable u tried is the problem. try to isolate the issue. unless ur in a remote location. am sure u can buy USB C there.

Same here, charges without problem with non-original charger and cable.

There's a lot of issues in charging, if you ask me, currently, that were fine in the 5T (which makes me wonder, a little, about how they do their code merges/integrations).

The fact my "time since last charge" will only change if I reboot, is interesting too. Clearly the battery message queue has some issues, probably in BATTERY_PLUGGED_USB, or BATTERY_PROPERTY_STATUS, if I had to guess, the battery queue in Android is "interesting" ;-]

Yes, as long as it's a OP Dash charger/cable and OP phone it should work fine.

USB C cables are not all the same, I buy the high quality from Anker and that's it. I am new and it is hard to believe it won't charge, may you bought a non compliant usb c cable that is faulty?

Same issue here. Not charging with oem cables, only with original one... Tried a few different ones that all worked with OP3T, but no success...

Oh, ok, my bad, the phone is charging (red led is on and battery percentage is increasing), but no indication on the battery display is shown. That's what was confusing... So just an UI bug...

Will I get a “fast charge” on OnePlus 6T, using any USB Type-C cable (with 56k resistor) and Original Dash Charger?
