Vodafone is a carrier/service provider right???
So most of the carriers lock the devices sold via them... That's my understanding...

EE is the carrier to be wary of Pixel has a locked bootloader and I'm sure they sim lock their devices and force you to pay £10+ to unlock them

Very smart move. If One Plus wasn't a partner with 02, I wouldn't of bought my OP6

Well, the truth is that in the end of the day, a company should always base their decisions on numbers, and on trying to make as much users happy about what their product offers as possible.

Here with the 6T they are betting the majority of users has moved to the wireless world or is about to do it. So for them it looks that it makes sense to make room in the phone for new improvements like the screen unlock and bigger battery (and who knows what else).

Personally I haven't used my op6 jack since I've got it, so I'm definitely ok with that change, but I do understand that some users may be really attached to the use of the jack, and for those the decision will always have to be done with their wallets (while there is still options available ).

We will soon see if they bet on the right thing. :)

Yes, but O2 is also a carrier. And they dont sell the OnePlus devices locked. So thats why I raised the line of Carl's text. It looks like its gonna be the same.

    Great news for the UK,

This will definitely push OnePlus into the more mainstream consciousness which will be good for the brand and for sales.

I am one however that will be pushing for Three to be added as a carrier as this is the carrier that I use. In terms of the ethos, they offer much better data packages and are more closely aligned to the tag 'never settle' at a more aggressive price (or sim only, unlimited calls texts and data for £27 a month!!).

They also have the most 5G spectrum in the UK so going forwards will be a real power house in the next generation of mobile technology!

One for you guys to consider!!!

    No need to explain @youbi
you and I and most of the old members knows the actually truth that the design of OnePlus devices is similar to some other devices and removing the jack has nothing to do with the percentage number(that 59% of community moved to Bluetooth headphones).so let the conversation end here.
