I have the same effect, but not as severe as you though. Tried changing it to different solid colored backgrounds, only appears on bright colored ones

im Happy for you, but It isnt easy to notice this issue, infact i noticed it After a lot of time of checking It, and also this effect didnt affect normal usage, i think Is a polarisation effect :)

I said on a very early post that I didn't have this problem, but I do. Is visible with white images from very sharp angles from the screen. Other than that, is invisible.

I've put up a white background, even used the OnePlus forum app which is white as well, full brightness and looking at it from every possible angle and I don't have this issue.

It's not on every phone. It could be a manufacturing issue or it falls within the acceptable limits. Has anybody contacted OnePlus with this issue?

We are such a small sample size and typically only those with issues will speak up. This could be an issue that affects just a small percentage of users, but because only those with issues speak up, it makes the problem look more wide spread than it is.

I think so. It's the first thing I thought... Gestures, plastic protector, dirt, ...

A dark environment "helps" too. Even then this is barely visible. It seems more of an internal reflex than a stain coming from the screen, as it seems to change with the angle.

Again, there is no issue with my display. I have checked it repeatedly. When I first came across this thread I was in bed about to go to sleep, so obviously the lights were off. Someone has even posted pics of their display with no issues, but you guys seem to be ignoring that post.

This seems to be very difficult for some of you to grasp, but this issue does not affect all phones. Instead of trying to prove that all phones have this issue, when they don't, why not just contact OnePlus and see what they say. Then report back to this post with what their response was. I have a feeling that there is a tolerance to these screens and if they are within a specified window, they are considered good.

Mine has it, but honestly I consider it good. I'm not ignoring your post, but since I said first that I didn't have it, then I saw it, I'm trying to give more detail to find it, if exists, and if you're curious. And if yours don't have it, congratulations, I guess. One less thing to worry about (or not. I don't).

It may even be diffraction between the light emitting surface and the glass. Again, I wouldn't worry.

I had the same problem until I took my plastic screen protector off. If u want to fix this buy a glass protector.

Nope. I have removed the screen protector and the issue stays there.
