The WiFi connection is very slow in OnePlus 6t whereas the same WiFi connection is working with an excellent speed in other devices.

My wifi and data connections are terrible. I even checked other devices on the same network and they are fine. Not sure what the deal is. I don't really want to wipe my phone again, but I may try that just to check that off the list.

Just set up my 6T today and my WiFi speed is about 10 times slower than for my old Nexus 6P - tested at the same time and place. [Edited 1 day later] Sorry, my fault. The 6T was automatically connecting to a weaker extension point of the main router. When I forced it to connect to the main router, the speed was greater than my old Nexus. Aleluya!

I have the same issue. Seems to me the change must have happened after an OxygenOS update. When now compared to my Moto X4, the radio in the 6T is awful. At the start in early November, I did comparisons, and the 6T seemed excellent by comparison to the X4. With Cell Network Info installed, the 6T RF performance still seems to excel by the strength numbers, but when I do a speed test with the X4 and 6T side-by-side, the 6T is now far slower with the same indicated strength. Also, as I mention in another thread, the phone says "Connected, but no Internet" on 5GHz with less than an Excellent signal strength. This makes 5GHz useless a lot of the time. I'm sure it wasn't like that when I got the phone, or I would've returned it. Sure hope this poor performance is fixed in the next update, or I'm going to be very disappointed with the choice I made for the 6T. I have to have a good radio.

having the same dramas with mine.....to an extent. everything thing was fine a couple of weeks ago but now it seems that it is slow in the initial loading of apps and pages that require the internet but if I switch WiFi off and go to cellular data it has no issues at all.

I have a similar problem. I found that if I run a speed test with my normal 6T wifi and bluetooth settings, my download speeds were about 6Mbps. If I put my phone in airplane mode and turned on wifi, my speeds were up around 60-70 Mbps. I realized that I was getting interference from the numerous bluetooth devices in my house. I tried changing the channel on my wireless router, but that had limited success. I then switched from my 2.4 MHz router signal to the 5.0 MHz signal, and I am now getting about 150 Mbps download speeds. The only downside is that the range of my wireless router at 5.0 MHz is not as good. I can still go anywhere in my house and consistently now get download speeds of over 100 Mbps with both wifi and bluetooth turned on.

Play with the phone without your bluetooth on. If your download speeds increase dramatically, you may be getting interference from bluetooth devices in your house. If so, try a different channel on your wireless router. If that doesn't work, try switching frequencies on your router.

Me too have same issue. I also have OnePlus 6t with latest updates all done. I have router of 130mbps and 150mbps. Link speed of both is shown half in wifi details. Speed test also gives half the speed. All other Android devices at home gives full speed.

Having oneplus 6 not 6t but the problem is same i have a 100mbps fiber connection but on my op6 on wifi i get the link speed of 72mbps and i get exactly half the speed in speedtest results and in real time downloading. All other devices including cheaper android devices in my house get full 100mbps speed. Also my friend has a oneplus 7 and gets 100mbps speed in speedtest result and in realtime downloading and the op7 shows link speed of 144mbps. Oneplus please fix this asap. What i have already done
    Factory Reset the phone
    Opt for beta
    Clearing system cache
    Reset wifi settings
    Nothing was of any use.
