I recently updated to 10.3.3 on my OnePlus 6T. Again I am facing a serious problem with the BATTERY here!!!..... (battery drain issue)

There is a lot of issue on OnePlus 6T for "BATTERY DRAIN". "*since*" I updated to "Android 10".

On Android 9 I was getting a screen on time (SOT) of 8hrs to 9hrs {or even 10hrs sometimes} max on normal usage.,
AND The stand by time was also ver good...

    BUT

After I updated to Android 10 I am only getting screen on time (SOT) of 5 to 5:30 max on normal usage... my OnePlus 6T

and Stand by time is also very bad....
    ______________________________________________

I want to give and example....

I got the update 10.3.3 , abt last week...... So I wanted to check my battery performance once again:- So,

"Every day night I charge my phone to 100% and did not even touch it and also made sure that wifi, location, mobile data Bluetooth all are OFF in quick settings pannel or drop pannel... and slept.... and "when I woke up I say my battery was 93%."

(Almost 8 to 9hrs of sleep :- for me and same goes to my OnePlus 6T phone).

And I did the same routine for the next two day, wantedly to check my battery performance, So I charged my phone till 100% and slept... and again the same scenario... same 7% drop in battery... from 100% it came to 93%......

and in all the scenarios I even offed the alarm also on my phone....

So if a phone is 100% ideal for 8 to 9 hrs the battery drain is almost 7%. Which is basically not at all acceptable as per me. ( If u had the same battery drain issue would you be happy???).

And one day I did the same routine my turning ON "FLIGHT MODE" from nt to mrng... so that tere will be no network in my phone, and conserve by battery...but same 7% battery drain is happening......

Plz Plz Plz [e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e][e]1f64f[/e] resolve the issue with SOME OTA UPDATE, it's my humble request....

    and Plz Plz help me....

Lemme ask you this... did you format the phone after updating to Android 10? If not, you might benefit from it.

Mmm... no. What you do is drain it to 10-15%, plug it in for as long as possible (preferably overnight), unplug and repeat the process a few times. It'll learn your usage pattern and adjust accordingly.

    Aaha. Ok..

But I never charged it overnight... because I don't want it to be over-charged i.e after 100% I don't want to charge it...!!!

ok, let me try for few days ur suggestion and see...

There's no "overcharge" in modern phones. Once it reaches 100% it'll automatically kill the circuit and start trickle charging to maintain it at 100%. This does not damage the battery in any way and is how it's designed.

Is safe to update with the latest firmware (April 2020) now? Just wondering what will not work if I'll come from 9.0.17 update. Thanks!

Everything seems to work for me. Then again, I have a 6 so your mileage may vary. Why not try it yourself?

Trying it out is fine but I don't have much time for now to study how rolling back works now, if it's 10 years ago it's fine. lol I don't do customization nowadays unlike back then.

Previously (maybe around December last year or January this year), I've read that some features are not working anymore or not working normally.

It's either here or XDA. Forgot man. Anyways, should I take your word with regards that it's safe to upgrade now? Esp. the built-in screen recording. :)
