The alert slider on my Oneplus 6t now only supports vibrate and ring. The third option of silence doesn't work any more. It also shows vibrate What happens?

Go to Settings -> Alert Slider -> Silent and check that "enable vibration" is not selected there

Many have found that if they clean the slider with a very thin plastic object is usually works. Or keep sliding it until it removes any lint or particles that may be stopping the sensor from triggering.

    Wow. Your suggestion works.
Did exactly as you said using a plastic toothpick to clean the slider gaps.
Then pushes the slider to and fro a couple of times.
That saves me alot of worries.
    Thanks so so much.

If you didn't back-up your data before resetting there's not much you can do. Were you using Google cloud services (photos, etc)? If so, you can restore whatever is backed up there.

The mic on my phone seems to be faulty because when i called people they can't hear me properly. Is there a way to increase the volume on my mic so that I can be heard claerly?
By the way, can someone tell me where the mic is located?

The microphones are located at the bottom of the device.

If you move the bottom of the device away from your mouth, it can make a big difference on how well people can hear you. Not saying that this is your problem, but I have had to correct uncountable people in doing this over the phone.
