I don't know if this will work but give it a try
Download the latest stable rom from the oneplus site for your phone link given below get the official build
    https://www.oneplus.com/global/support/softwareupgrade/details?code=9
    Backup your data
    Do the hard reset
Follow the instructions on the oneplus site to install the rom and tell if this works
Instructions are give on the same site below on the page
I'm not responsible if anything goes completely wrong.

Same problem with my 6t also
Camera and app are hanging, and immediately closing.
When I am restarting phone then it works.
But after a certain time it repeats again specially when we are shooting vedio's
    Or snaps in different mode.

One + should provide appropriate sol. For this unusual causes.

    try:
Boot the phone into recovery mode and clear the cache.
    1. Power off phone.
    2. Power on phone whilst holding down the volume down button (this takes slightly longer to react than you would expect and after the initial splash screen goes blank for a slightly un-nerving amount of time. But just wait).
    3. Enter the PIN/Password you use to unlock the phone when prompted.
    4. Choose a language.
    5. Choose "Wipe data and cache" (don't worry this is only a path to a submenu, it won't delete your data).
    6. Choose "Wipe cache" (IMPORTANT - MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TAP ERASE EVERYTHING).
    7. It will confirm that you have selected clear cache and ask you to say YES.
    8. When it says success choose "Reboot"
    9. The night after doing this leave the phone on charge overnight.

What they called it best smartphone... it's very disappointing that these threads are even there..

In my phone 2 rare and big problems are there.

    1. During normal stand by mode automatically battery is draining. Phone's battery is 54 percent and internet is off, no running apps and yes I'm not using any special kind of software due to which battery drained that fast, normal social media apps and only single game pubg, even after that my phone was in my bag for atleast for 4 - 5 hrs and all of sudden when i checked my phone after 5 hrs battery was on 7 percent and the phone was heating very much or i can say it was burning .

This issue i saw on regular basis now a days like within 2,3 days this happens.

Is this the best smartphone meant to be.

This is the reason why we choose one plus over any premium smartphone ? I don't think so.

    2. This issue is resolved i think but don't know whether it's coming again or not. Alarm sign was showing without any alarm set and after restarting my phone it's normal.

Don't know if someone will see it or not just posting if we can help more.

    1. what are the battery use screens in settings say is using your battery? do you use Whatsapp?
    2. some apps use the alarm mechanism to trigger things. Tasker is an example. they will make the alarm icon appear, but the clock app won't show an alarm.

    1. Yes I use WhatsApp but if net is off and all cache is cleared already how come it uses battery that much .

    Screen is also locked .

I mentioned the battery usage , you checked it right ?

And that recovery mode cache clearing stuff i do it regularly as a week or two ..

there is a whatsapp app issue at the moment re battery use, awaiting an app update. having the net connection off will have no effect on that.

i know you mentioned it, but what do the stats actually say in the battery use screens?

yes, but the battery use screens will say screen on time, they will also break down which apps are using the battery. Kind of important rather than just how much is left.

Whatsapp have acknowledged it and are working on an update (believe it is already out on their beta channel). Its not affecting 100% - which is another reason to look at the battery stats and see which apps are using your battery...
